LONDON--Halfords Group PLC (HFD.LN) has appointed Jill McDonald as chief executive officer with effect from May 11, the bike and car parts retailer said Monday.

Mrs. McDonald is currently CEO, U.K. & President, North West Division, Europe for McDonald's Corporation and is a nonexecutive director of Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC.

Halfords said Mrs. McDonald remuneration package includes an annual basic salary of 0.5 million pounds ($0.7 million) and her maximum annual bonus entitlement is 150% of salary, prorated to service for 2015/16.

One-third of her bonus will be deferred into shares for a period of three years, the company added.
