Konecranes Oyj (KCR1V.HE) Chief Executive Pekka Lundmark will
leave the company in September to take the top job at Finnish
utility Fortum Oyj (FUM1V.HE), the companies said Thursday.
Fortum has been searching for a new boss since January, when
then-Chief Executive Tapio Kuula stepped down due to ill health.
Mr. Kuula went on to a disability pension in February to continue
treatment for cancer that was originally diagnosed in early
2013.
Mr. Lundmark, 51, will leave Konecranes in early September,
after the release of the company January-June interim report.
"Ten years is a long time for a CEO and for this reason I feel
this is a good time to move on with my career," he said.
