IMO it wouldnβt and this is why. Texasβs Compassionate Use Program (CUP) allows certain physicians to prescribe low tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) cannabis for medical purposes.
Low-THC comes from the plant Cannabis Sativa L. All parts of the plant and any resulting compounds, salts, resins, oils and derivatives that contain no more than 0.5 % by weight of THC are considered Low-THC. Medical use of these substances is limited to swallowing, not smoking, the prescribed dose of low-THC.

Pam Bondi, the former attorney general of Florida, was chosen Thursday to be the nationβs top law enforcement official by Trump just hours after Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration in the face of Senate opposition.
Bondi is a partner at Ballard Partners, the lobbying firm that had been run by Trump's incoming chief of staff Susie Wiles and whose founder, Brian Ballard, is a top Trump fundraiser. She is co-chair of the law and justice division at the pro-Trump America First Policy Institute, which has been likened to a Trump administration in waiting.

Kim Rivers, CEO of the medical marijuana company Trulieve, which bankrolled a marijuana legalization initiative that failed to pass this month, said of Bondi on social media Thursday: βI think she is a great pick!β
Rivers noted that Bondiβs opposition to smokable marijuana, for example, was βfollowing [then-Gov. Rick Scottβs (R)] direction on that at the time.β

Gaetz is out, my opinion has been he was never really going to be in the position, as it was cover to let him resign from the House before the severe reprimands which could have ruined his chances of a future career. Trump also could now argue he tried to put a pot friendly guy in the office and it is other peoples fault that he cannot now fulfill his promise of cannibas reform. However............to be optomistic, perhaps the next candidate will have a clean record and be reform friendly. If you have followed Trulieve for very long, you remember there were some pretty close connections with Gaetz in the early days, something that I was never very comfortable with.

Here's what they said when Kennedy was running for president.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is making a bid for the White Houseβnow as an independent candidate after initially running for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination. And while his drug policy record is thin, he has come out in support of bold marijuana and psychedelics reforms since entering the race.
The son of former Attorney General Robert Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy has pledged to legalize cannabis and psychedelics if elected
So we have Trump(who said we need to move it to schedule 3), Gaetz (if he gets confirmed, although trump has ways around the process) and Kennedy (same) both are in line with full legalization not just schedule 3. So I'm thinking maybe they will do something in short order. At least if you can believe what they say, there shouldn't be many impediments to something favorable happening. Remember it's trumps party not the senate or houses party. So if trump and the republicans don't follow through, it wouldn't look good.

Two months before the election, Trump issued a statement largely aligning himself with the Biden administration and his election opponent, Vice President Harris. In it, he affirmed that he supports legalizing the recreational use of marijuana.
"I believe it is time to end needless arrests and incarcerations of adults for small amounts of marijuana for personal use," he said in a Truth Social post. "We must also implement smart regulations, while providing access for adults, to safe, tested product."
Trump said he would vote "yes" on Florida's recreational cannabis ballot question (the proposed amendment fell short of its 60% threshold). And he suggested Biden's cannabis policy might remain intact.
"As President, we will continue to focus on research to unlock the medical uses of marijuana to a Schedule 3 drug, and work with Congress to pass common sense laws, including safe banking for state authorized companies," Trump said.
So there it is. Sounds to me like he made a promise to continue. Let's see how that pans out. The Biden admin currently has schedule 3 hearing the first of Dec so dems need to push getting something done before the change in administrations. But at least Trump is on record as continuing the approval of schedule 3 change. People are saying he will do what he said on the campaign trail.

While we are now being controlled by republicans, who care less about individual freedoms, it may be a good thing for companies like TCNNF. It will be harder for others to enter the market and expand, leaving TCNNF in a unique opportunity to run sales higher and be more profitable. In the mean time we wait for DEA, the failed Senate under Schumer (re:safe banking) and the incoming trump admin to signal some type of future policy. All in all, I think TCNNF is positioned well in the market. IMO You know Rivers is working her contacts behind the scenes to get something changed that would help.
