Additional order from US DoD for world leading M50 mask 
 
 
At the AGM on 21 January, Avon announced that the Company's Protection & Defence 
business had received an order from the US Government for 100,000 M50 mask 
systems in respect of the second year of its 10 year sole source contract. 
A second award has now been received for the M50 JSGPM mask series requiring the 
delivery of a further 61,000 mask systems over the next year.  The combined 
value of these awards is $34.4m which is in line with management expectations. 
Delivery against the first year production requirement is progressing well and 
fielding by the US Department of Defense has commenced to a number of Air Force 
and Marine Corps around the world.
