                     Statement re Possible Offer

On 13 May 2008, Jarvis announced that it had received an  unsolicited
approach to acquire  its only trading  subsidiary, Jarvis  Investment
Management  plc,   at  a   value  in   excess  of   Jarvis's   market
capitalisation and that the board  was considering its options  which
could include consideration of a sale of Jarvis.

No offer has been made at a level which reflects the underlying value
of the  business  and accordingly  the  Group confirms  that  it  has
terminated all  talks and  is no  longer engaged  in any  discussions
regarding a  potential  offer  for the  Group  or  Jarvis  Investment
Management plc.

The Group continues  to trade  ahead of  management expectations  and
expects to release its interim results for the 6 months ended 30 June
in late July.
