Outsourcery O-Cloud platform gains PGA accreditation

Outsourcery (AIM: OUT), a world-leading Cloud Services Provider ("CSP") that helps organisations of any size to reduce costs, increase productivity and work better, is pleased to announce that the Outsourcery O-Cloud platform has gained "official" Pan Government Accreditation (PGA), meeting public sector security requirements to run government classified information at OFFICIAL and OFFICAL SENSITIVE levels over the internet. Outsourcery's full "official" accredited service portfolio will be available on the government's Digital Marketplace platform this week

With this accreditation, Public sector organisations - such as local authorities, government bodies and 'blue-light' and emergency services - shopping on the government's Digital Marketplace will now be able to procure Outsourcery's cloud services, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and a full suite of hosted Microsoft applications delivered as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), including Exchange, Lync and Dynamics CRM.

Outsourcery will be the first Microsoft-focused CSP capable of offering enterprise grade cloud-based Lync with full native enterprise voice from a PGA accredited platform - a platform which is already used by several FTSE-100 companies. This represents a strong growth opportunity for Outsourcery as government transitions to Cloud-based services, and follows the UK government's introduction a Public Cloud First Policy mandating government departments to consider public Cloud before any other option when looking at IT procurement.

Piers Linney, Co-CEO of Outsourcery commented:

"The recent techUK manifesto for growth and jobs 2015-2020 highlighted the importance of the IT industry's role in increasing productivity and boosting the economic success of the UK, and the digitisation of the public sector is a key part of this. To achieve this, public sector organisations need access to services that are reliable, familiar, but most importantly, meet data sovereignty specifications. By taking the necessary steps to obtain the Pan Government Accredited (PGA) classification, we are aiming to support this - we offer a full suite of IaaS and SaaS solutions built on Microsoft technology and delivered from our O-Cloud platform, which is housed in datacenters based in the UK. We are the only supplier of cloud-based voice-enabled enterprise Lync that is PGA accredited for 'official' and 'official sensitive'."

Simone Hume, Head of Public Sector at Outsourcery, adds:

"This is a great milestone for us and a natural step towards our goal of providing highly secure and efficient solutions to the UK public sector. We are currently in the final stages of our implementing our Secure O-Cloud platform, a secure cloud platform that will have accreditation by PGA (formerly IL3) enabling 'official' and 'official-sensitive' information to run over the Government's PSN network at Protect and Assured Levels. The additional accreditation is aimed at UK public sector departments requiring higher levels of secure connectivity such as central government workloads, which has been built around next generation architecture, using Microsoft software technologies and Dell hardware. The new accreditation for our existing O-Cloud platform is just one part of our ongoing effort to create solutions that meet the needs of the UK public sector.

"In addition to this, as all Outsourcery services now meet PGA internet accreditation for 'official' and 'official-sensitive' by government standards, commercial sector customers will have the added benefit and reassurance of receiving the same high level of security and data sovereignty, by using solutions that have been confirmed as secure enough for the public sector. All solutions will be available from this week on the government's Digital Marketplace."
