International Datacasting Corporation (TSX:IDC), a global leader in providing
advanced solutions for multimedia content distribution via satellite, announced
today that the Company will be a featured sponsor of the IPTV World Forum,
Eastern Europe, being held in Budapest, Hungary, October 20 to 21, as well as a
sponsor and featured speaker at the upcoming IPTV World Series events taking
place in Dubai in November and Singapore in December.

In addition to the sponsorship, Ron Clifton, President and CEO, will be a
featured speaker at the event. Mr. Clifton will be speaking on October 21st and
the topic of his presentation will be "Satellite Delivered IPTV - Lessons from
the Edge."

The IPTV World Forum Series is a collection of market leading IPTV conferences
and exhibitions that focus on the key marketing, business and technology
challenges facing IPTV service providers. These events are characterized by
their high levels of service provider involvement.

International Datacasting Corporation develops and manufactures a full line of
products that can be readily configured to provide end-to-end system solutions
for the point-to-multipoint delivery of broadband IPTV content via satellite.
The SuperFlex product line includes uplink transmission equipment such as IP
encapsulators, encryption subsystems, network management and RF modulators. It
also includes a full line of advanced integrated receivers/decoders that can
easily be installed and are compatible with broadband IP delivery networks.

IDC provides equipment to two of the most advanced satellite delivered IPTV
networks in the world. Both SES Americom's IP Prime and EchoStar's ViP-TV use
IDC's total solution for IPTV content distribution from IDC that provides the
latest in MPEG-4 and DVB-S2 technologies.

The IPTV market that IDC addresses calls for broadcast quality Standard
Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) television programming - live streaming
content as well as video on demand and interactive services - to be delivered to
consumer television sets over their broadband Internet connection. Turnkey
solutions are being sought by service providers such as telcos who want to
expand their service offerings.

IDC's broadband satellite multicasting technology provides connectivity directly
to the Point of Presence (POP) closest to the consumer, offering the high
quality of service needed to meet broadcast television standards and is
particularly cost effective for large area coverage and multipoint distribution.

"IPTV continues to be an emerging market that is global in scope, and represents
a significant growth opportunity for IDC with our broadband satellite IP
multicasting technology and experience. I am pleased to be associated with these
leading IPTV events," said Ron Clifton. "As a speaker, I am looking forward to
continuing to deliver our message to a larger, global audience."
