Unilever PLC (ULVR.LN) said Wednesday that it would close its factory in Norwich at the end of 2019, putting 113 jobs at risk of redundancy.

The Anglo-Dutch consumer goods group said that 40 jobs would move to its factory in Burton, while a new milling facility near Norwich would create 25 jobs. Manufacture of goods would transfer to its factory in Burton upon Trent.

The company said that the decision comes after a consultation with employees that followed its announced proposal for the closure in January.

This news follows Britvic PLC's (BVIC.LN) own closure of the factory it operated on the site it shared with Unilever.
