●

●
Avinger’s technology, products and clinical data featured in multiple key opinion leader (KOL) presentations at the Charing Cross, New Cardiovascular Horizons and LINC clinical conferences, with additional podium presentations scheduled at the AMP conference in August
“We received 510(k) clearance for two exciting new devices in the second quarter, completing development of the most advanced peripheral products portfolio in the industry, and providing the opportunity for two important new product launches in the second half of this year,” commented Jeff Soinski, Avinger’s President and CEO. “With our expanded product portfolio and portable Lightbox 3 imaging platform, a growing body of clinical evidence demonstrating unsurpassed clinical results with our proprietary image-guided devices, and strategic investment in our sales team, we believe Avinger is well positioned for growth in the coming quarters.”
“We intend to advance the Tigereye ST CTO-crossing system to full commercial launch in the third quarter, having now completed more than 30 cases with excellent results during our limited launch process. In addition, we have commenced a limited launch of the recently cleared Pantheris LV device and if all goes according to plan expect to move to full commercial launch in the fourth quarter. We are excited about the potential for these innovative devices to bring new capabilities to our platform and expand the addressable market for our products.
“In support of our clinical expansion, we continue to document best-in-class clinical outcomes in a variety of challenging patient cases. This includes the most recent podium updates at key conferences on our IMAGE-BTK study, which we anticipate achieving full enrollment this quarter. The interim data from this study continue to show outstanding clinical outcomes in the treatment of advanced disease below-the-knee, with 96% freedom from target lesion revascularization (TLR) and 93% vessel patency at 12-months, and 100% freedom from major adverse events across enrollees.
“We are also making substantive progress on the development of our first coronary product application, designed to provide a superior, simplified, and more certain image-guided solution to cross chronic total occlusions in the coronary arteries. We have now completed our first round of animal studies and expect to complete a second round of animal studies at a top KOL center in the third quarter, as we work towards our goal of filing an IDE application with the FDA in the first half of next year to allow for initiation of a clinical study in 2024.”

Forward-Looking Statements
This news release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933 and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. These forward-looking statements include statements regarding our future performance, our expected timing relating to the full commercial launch of Tigereye ST and Pantheris LV, patient and physician benefits of our products, the impacts of our products on the treatment of vascular disease, our ability to successfully develop new products, including products relating to the treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD), the timing of the development of new products, the impact of products developed for the treatment of CAD on our business and results of operations, the potential success of our coronary product application, the expected enrollment and timing of our Pantheris IMAGE-BTK study, and our expectation regarding assessing coronary prototypes in animal studies and the timing relating to our goal of filing an IDE application relating to a clinical study, and the timing regarding the initiation of a clinical study. Such statements are based on current assumptions that involve risks and uncertainties that could cause actual outcomes and results to differ materially. These risks and uncertainties, many of which are beyond our control, include our dependency on a limited number of products; the resource requirements related to Pantheris, Tigereye and our Lightbox imaging console; the outcome of clinical trial results; the adoption of our products by physicians; our ability to obtain regulatory approvals for our products; as well as the other risks described in the section entitled "Risk Factors" and elsewhere in our Annual Report on Form 10-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 16, 2023, as amended, and Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q. Non-GAAP Financial Measures
Avinger has provided in this press release financial information that has not been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (GAAP). The Company uses these non-GAAP financial measures internally in analyzing its financial results and believes that the use of these non-GAAP financial measures is useful to investors as an additional tool to evaluate ongoing operating results and trends and in comparing the Company’s financial results with other companies in its industry, many of which present similar non-GAAP financial measures.
The presentation of these non-GAAP financial measures should not be considered in isolation or as a substitute for comparable GAAP financial measures, and should be read only in conjunction with the Company’s financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP. A reconciliation of the Company’s non-GAAP financial measures to their most directly comparable GAAP measures has been provided in the financial statement tables included in this press release, and investors are encouraged to review these reconciliations.
Adjusted EBITDA. Avinger defines Adjusted EBITDA as net loss and comprehensive loss plus interest expense, net, plus other income, net, plus stock-based compensation expense plus certain inventory charges plus certain depreciation and amortization expense. Investors are cautioned that there are a number of limitations associated with the use of non-GAAP financial measures as analytical tools. Furthermore, these non-GAAP financial measures are not based on any standardized methodology prescribed by GAAP, and the components that Avinger excludes in its calculation of non-GAAP financial measures may differ from the components that its peer companies exclude when they report their non-GAAP results of operations. Avinger compensates for these limitations by providing specific information regarding the GAAP amounts excluded from these non-GAAP financial measures. In the future, the Company may also exclude other non-recurring expenses and other expenses that do not reflect the Company’s core business operating results.
