GROVE, Ill., Feb. 6, 2025
/PRNewswire/ -- Markem-Imaje, part of Dover (NYSE: DOV) and a
global provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions and industrial
marking and coding systems, today announced the launch of the
SmartLase® UV500, a new 5-watt UV laser printer that is
well suited for high-density and delicate materials including hard
plastics, recyclable films, metal, and glass. This new printer
complements Markem-Imaje's CO2 and Fiber laser
portfolio.
The SmartLase UV500 is capable of rapid coding for
traceability including advanced text messages, logos, and complex
2D codes. This new and powerful UV printer has been engineered to
provide exceptional marking speed for fast, demanding
applications.
Virtually maintenance-free, the SmartLase UV500 helps
reduce operational expenses by reducing line stoppages and removing
added costs like expensive consumables or external cooling.
Meanwhile, its chemical-free production helps businesses achieve
sustainability compliance goals and its permanent codes protect
against counterfeiting.
Industry 4.0-optimized and with a variety of industrial
interfaces such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, NGPCL, the SmartLase
UV500 also has full-featured CoLOS® software support
capacity – allowing for accurate, smart, and optimized message
design and data management across the factory from a remote
location.
With reliability, safety, and with Ingress Protection up to 55,
the SmartLase UV500 is designed for challenging manufacturing
environments. Moreover, the laser meets the very highest standard
of safety for E-stop and interlock circuits integration per ISO
13849-1 up to Performance Level PLe.
"The SmartLase UV500 has been engineered to address the
growing market demand for a powerful and fast UV laser," said
Adam Krolak, Product Marketing
Manager at Markem-Imaje. "We are catering to a global shift to
sustainable and recyclable packaging materials. Moreover, our
customers are now looking for traceability solutions that comply
with the new rules for managing recycled materials. The UV500 laser
printer addresses these needs with its unmatched efficiency on
highly demanding, ultra-fast applications."
