Astorius Resources Ltd. (ASQ -- TSX Venture) ("Astorius") has filed and acquired 1 British Columbia Mineral Claim, the Hautete Claim, covering an area of 240.02 Hectares. The claim is located approximately 85 kilometres northeast of the community of Smithers in the Prolific Babine Porphyry Copper/Gold Belt in Central British Columbia.

The new claim covers a trend that was identified by a review of Minfile occurrences and Assessment Reports available from the British Columbia Ministry websites. Historic work within and adjacent to this claim has returned significant results from surface sampling and geophysical surveying, (ARIS reports 23349, 23350, 23351 and 24107). This work was summarized by Walcott and Associates in Astorius assessment report of 2011. The Walcott compilation of data indicates that elevated values of copper and gold from rock samples are coincident with an IP chargeability anomaly that trends through the area. Historical rock chip samples taken from showings in this area assay up to 5g/t Gold and 1% Copper (see map below).

Over the past three years Astorius has been accumulating claims in this region and is currently the largest mineral claim holder in the Babine camp. It holds a total of 105 claims which have a total area of approximately 39,023.41 hectares (approximately 96,428.94 acres). The claims surround the historic Bell and Granisle porphyry copper-gold mines owned by Xstrata Canada Corporation.

The Bell Porphyry Copper-Gold Mine operated from 1977 to 1992 producing 304,795,539 Kg. of copper, 12,885,964 grams of gold and 38,319,730 grams of silver from 77,146,088 tonnes of ore.

The Granisle Porphyry Copper-Gold Mine operated from 1966 to 1982 producing 214,299,455 kilograms of copper, 6,832,716 grams of gold and 69,752,525 grams of silver from 52,321,517 tonnes of ore.

The Company plans to carry out a ground IP survey in the Hautete area in 2013 in order to further detail the geophysical targets prior to diamond drilling.
