Supplement dated January 1, 2013 to the

Fund’s prospectus dated January 1, 2013

In August 2012, the Board of Trustees of the Acquired Fund approved a proposal to merge the Acquired Fund with and into Columbia Small Cap Growth Fund I (the Acquiring Fund). The merger is expected to be a tax-free reorganization for U.S. federal income tax purposes. More information about the Acquiring Fund and the definitive terms of the proposed merger is included in proxy materials.

This merger is subject to certain conditions, including approval by shareholders of the Acquired Fund. Proxy materials regarding the merger were distributed to shareholders of the Acquired Fund on or about December 17, 2012, and the meeting of shareholders to consider the merger will be held on February 27, 2013.
