Password Manager Defined
This is an open-source browser extension, and it allows users to use the keys kept on Trezor instead of a master key to keep their personal things safe. This service was started in 2016, and it has a small group of users who eventually become one percent of Trezor users.

Why Will the Password Manager Be Stopped?
The update to Google Chrome has brought some technical problems that will require a huge reallocation of resources to create the password manager. And this will restrict the development of other products. Most importantly, it isn’t a service that doesn’t falls in line with the focus on BTC, and it has been decided that the development of other products that will be of benefit to Trezor users will be given attention.

Resources will be allocated to developing better security, privacy, and BTC usability; consequently, functions such as coinjoin functionality, as well as mobile phone apps are prioritized above Password Manager.

Can Trezor Be Used to Protect Another Password Manager?
At this point, no one knows of any password manager that could be used by Trezor to protect or encrypt their data. Having said that, Trezor’s password manager is totally open source, and one can only hope that it is revived in the hands of the community.
