Perhaps the best thing about “Sell in May” is that you can rest easy in the glorious summer and forget the markets. This might just be a big enough dividend to make it worthwhile, come boom or bust.
The numbers look good if you study them in a certain way, but it has to be said, buying in the summer after a big correction is also an excellent way to make money, so leaving it till the St Ledger is far from the optimal strategy…
