TotalEnergies (EU:TTE) has officially begun production at the Ballymore offshore field, located 120 kilometers off the coast of Louisiana. The company holds a 40% stake in the project, in partnership with Chevron. This development is expected to significantly boost TotalEnergies’ deepwater production capacity in the U.S. and play a key role in achieving the company’s target of more than 3% growth in hydrocarbon production by 2025. Utilizing existing infrastructure to minimize costs and reduce emissions, the Ballymore field exemplifies TotalEnergies’ commitment to its integrated energy strategy, combining low-cost, low-emission oil and gas operations with LNG and integrated power projects in the U.S.
