TClarke – Business prospects

For some time TClarke has been one of, if not the, market leader for the installation of electrical systems in large, complex and technically challenging new builds and refurbishments. Contracts can range up to £10m.

It has a valuable brand and a reputation which may allow some degree of pricing power. But only at certain points in the business cycle.
It has been in this business for over 125 years. To be able to offer a range of services beyond electrics it has in more recent years developed and acquired an increased capability in mechanical fittings to property. This was particularly boosted with the purchase in 2010 of D&S Engineering Facilities for £11.6m in cash and DG Robson Mechanical Services acquired for £5.6m (including £2m of new shares).
Now many sub-contracting projects involve a combination of electrical and mechanical services.
Examples of projects:
• Shard. Water condensers and boilers, gas and public health services.
• Pinewood Studios. Full range of mechanical, electrical and ICT services including specialist lighting systems, protection and controls
• Stansted Airport Extension. Mechanical contractor for fire safety and security systems….
