Compared to a revised reading of 110.90 in the prior month the business confidence index in Italy unexpectedly fell to a level of 110.80 in November. Market anticipation was for the business confidence index to advance to a level of 111.80.
Italian economic sentiment index declined in November
In Italy, the economic sentiment index eased to 108.80 in November. In the prior month, the economic sentiment index had recorded a reading of 109.10.
Italian consumer confidence index unexpectedly dropped in November
In November, the consumer confidence index in Italy recorded an unexpected drop to 114.30, lower than market expectations of a rise to 116.50. The consumer confidence index had registered a revised level of 116.00 in the prior month.
US new home sales unexpectedly rose in October
In the US, new home sales unexpectedly rose by 6.20%, on monthly basis, to a level of 685.00 K in October, compared to market expectations of 627.00 K. In the prior month, new home sales had recorded a revised reading of 645.00 K.
US Dallas Fed manufacturing business index declined in November
In November, the Dallas Fed manufacturing business index in the US recorded a drop to 19.40, compared to a level of 27.60 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the Dallas Fed manufacturing business index to fall to a level of 24.00.
