UK services PMI surprisingly climbed in June
In the UK, the services PMI unexpectedly rose to a level of 55.10 in June. The services PMI had registered a reading of 54.00 in the previous month.
Euro-zone services PMI advanced in June
The final services PMI in the Euro-zone climbed to a level of 55.20 in June, compared to a reading of 53.80 in the prior month. Market anticipation was for the index to rise to a reading of 55.00.
German services PMI advanced in June
In Germany, the final services PMI advanced to a level of 54.50 in June, compared to a reading of 52.10 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to rise to a level of 53.90. The preliminary figure had recorded a jump to a level of 53.90.
French services PMI climbed in June
The final services PMI in France rose to a level of 55.90 in June, lower than market expectations of an advance to a reading of 56.40. In the previous month, the index had registered a level of 54.30.
US mortgage applications fell in the last week
On a weekly basis, mortgage applications in the US fell 0.50% in the week ended 29 June 2018. In the previous week, mortgage applications had dropped 4.90%.
