In Germany, the Ifo current assessment index registered an unexpected rise to a level of 106.40 in August, compared to market expectations of a drop to a level of 105.30. In the previous month, the index had registered a revised reading of 105.40.
German Ifo business expectations index rose in August
In Germany, the Ifo business expectations index climbed to a level of 101.20 in August, higher than market expectations of a rise to a reading of 98.40. In the previous month, the index had registered a level of 98.20.
German Ifo business climate index advanced in August
The Ifo business climate index in Germany registered a rise to a level of 103.80 in August, compared to a reading of 101.70 in the previous month. Market expectation was for the index to rise to a level of 101.80.
US Chicago Fed national activity index fell in July
In the US, the Chicago Fed national activity index eased to a level of 0.13 in July, compared to a revised level of 0.48 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to ease to a level of 0.45.
US Dallas Fed manufacturing business index declined in August
The US Dallas Fed manufacturing business index fell to a level of 30.90 in August, compared to market expectations of a fall to a level of 30.00. In the previous month, the index had registered a level of 32.30.
