UK services PMI dropped in September
The UK Markit services PMI fell to a level of 53.90 in September, compared to a level of 54.30 in the prior month. Market expectation was for the index to fall to a level of 54.00.
Euro-zone services PMI advanced in September
The final Markit services PMI in the Euro-zone recorded a rise to a level of 54.70 in September, meeting market expectations. In the previous month, the index had registered a reading of 54.40.
German services PMI climbed in September
The final Markit services PMI in Germany recorded a rise to a level of 55.90 in September, lower than market expectations of a rise to a reading of 56.50. In the prior month, the index had registered a level of 55.00.
Private sector employment in the US advanced in September
The US private sector employment recorded an increase of 230.00 K in September, following a revised advance of 168.00 K in the prior month. Market anticipation was for the private sector employment to advance 184.00 K.
US services PMI eased in September
The final Markit services PMI in the US recorded a drop to a level of 53.50 in September, compared to a reading of 54.80 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to fall to a level of 53.00.
