Number of unemployment benefits claimants in the UK increased in October
In the UK, number of unemployment benefits claimants climbed by 20.20K in October. Number of unemployment benefits claimants had registered a revised gain of 23.20K in the previous month.
UK ILO unemployment rate unexpectedly advanced in the July-September 2018 period
The ILO unemployment rate in the UK registered an unexpected rise to 4.10% in the July-September 2018 period, higher than market expectations of an unchanged reading. In the June-August 2018 period, the ILO unemployment rate had recorded a level of 4.00%.
Euro-zone economic sentiment index fell in November
The ZEW economic sentiment index in the Euro-zone fell to a level of -22.00 in November. In the previous month, the index had registered a reading of -19.40.
German CPI advanced as expected in October
In Germany, the final consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.20% on a monthly basis, in October, compared to an advance of 0.40% in the prior month. Market anticipation was for the CPI to climb 0.20%.
US swung to a budget deficit in October
Budget deficit in the US recorded a reading of $100.50 billion in October. The US had posted a budget surplus of $119.10 billion in the previous month.
