UK manufacturing PMI rose in November
The manufacturing PMI in the UK registered a rise to a level of 53.10 in November, higher than market expectations of an advance to a reading of 51.70. In the prior month, the index had registered a level of 51.10.
Euro-zone manufacturing PMI declined in November
In the Euro-zone, the final manufacturing PMI fell to a level of 51.80 in November, compared to a reading of 52.00 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to drop to a level of 51.50.
German manufacturing PMI slid in November
In Germany, the final manufacturing PMI recorded a drop to a level of 51.80 in November, higher than market expectations of a drop to a reading of 51.60. In the previous month, manufacturing PMI had registered a level of 52.20.
US construction spending unexpectedly dropped in October
Construction spending in the US unexpectedly eased 0.10% on a MoM basis, in October, compared to a revised similar fall in the prior month. Market expectation was for construction spending to advance 0.40%.
US ISM manufacturing activity index unexpectedly rose in November
The ISM manufacturing activity index in the US registered an unexpected rise to a level of 59.30 in November, higher than market expectations of a drop to a reading of 57.50. The index had recorded a reading of 57.70 in the previous month.
