UK construction PMI unexpectedly advanced in November
The construction PMI in the UK unexpectedly advanced to a level of 53.40 in November, higher than market expectations of a drop to a reading of 52.50. The index had registered a level of 53.20 in the prior month.
Euro-zone PPI rose more than expected in October
In the Euro-zone, the producer price index (PPI) advanced 0.80% on a monthly basis, in October, more than market expectations for an advance of 0.50%. The PPI had advanced by a revised 0.60% in the prior month.
Swiss CPI dropped more than expected in November
The consumer price index (CPI) in Switzerland recorded a drop of 0.30% on a monthly basis, in November, compared to an advance of 0.20% in the prior month. Market expectation was for the CPI to ease 0.10%.
Japan services PMI dropped in November
In Japan, services PMI registered a drop to a level of 52.30 in November, compared to a reading of 52.40 in the prior month.
China services PMI unexpectedly advanced in November
The services PMI index in China recorded an unexpected rise to a level of 53.80 in November, higher than market expectations of a fall to a reading of 50.70. In the previous month, the index had registered a reading of 50.80.
