Euro-zone services PMI fell in March
The flash services PMI in the Euro-zone registered a drop to a level of 52.70 in March, meeting market expectations. The index had recorded a reading of 52.80 in the prior month.
Euro-zone manufacturing PMI surprisingly dropped in March
The flash manufacturing PMI in the Euro-zone unexpectedly fell to a level of 47.60 in March, compared to market expectations of a rise to a level of 49.50. In the previous month, the index had recorded a level of 49.30.
German manufacturing PMI unexpectedly fell in March
In Germany, the preliminary manufacturing PMI unexpectedly eased to a level of 44.70 in March, compared to a reading of 47.60 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to advance to a level of 48.00.
German services PMI fell in March
In Germany, the preliminary services PMI recorded a drop to a level of 54.90 in March, compared to a level of 55.30 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to a reading of 54.80.
US Markit manufacturing PMI surprisingly dropped in March
The preliminary Markit manufacturing PMI in the US unexpectedly fell to a level of 52.50 in March, lower than market expectations of an advance to a reading of 53.50. In the previous month, the index had recorded a reading of 53.00.
