UK construction PMI advanced in March
In the UK, the construction Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) registered a rise to 49.70 in March, compared to market expectations of an advance to 49.80. The construction PMI had registered a level of 49.50 in the previous month.
UK BRC shop price index climbed in March
The BRC shop price index in the UK registered a rise of 0.90% on an annual basis, in March. In the previous month, the BRC shop price index had recorded a rise of 0.70%.
US durable goods orders dropped less than expected in February
The preliminary durable goods orders in the US slid 1.60% on a monthly basis in February, lower than market expectations for a drop of 1.80%. In the prior month, durable goods orders had advanced 0.30%.
Chinese Caixin/Markit services PMI index climbed in March
The Caixin/Markit services PMI rose to a level of 54.40 in March, in China, compared to market expectations of a rise to a level of 52.30. The Caixin/Markit services PMI index had recorded a reading of 51.10 in the previous month.
Japanese Nikkei Japan services PMI slides in March
Japan’s Nikkei services PMI dropped to 52.00 in March, compared to a reading of 52.30 in the prior month
