UK consumer confidence steadied in April
In the UK, the consumer confidence index remained steady at a level of -13.00 in April, at par with market expectations.
Euro-zone industrial confidence index fell in April
The industrial confidence index in the Euro-zone fell to a level of -4.10 in April, compared to market expectations of a fall to a level of -2.00. The index had registered a revised level of -1.60 in the prior month.
Euro-zone economic sentiment indicator eased in April
The economic sentiment indicator in the Euro-zone eased to a level of 104.00 in April, compared to a revised reading of 105.60 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the index to ease to a level of 105.00.
Euro-zone consumer confidence index dropped in April
The final consumer confidence index in the Euro-zone fell to a level of -7.90 in April, compared to a level of -7.20 in the prior month.
US personal spending rose more than expected in March
Personal spending in the US rose 0.90% on a MoM basis, in March, higher than market expectations for an advance of 0.70%. Personal spending had recorded a rise of 0.10% in the prior month.
