UK balance of firms reporting total order book above normal climbed in August

In the UK, the balance of firms reporting total order book above normal rose to a level of -13.00 in August, compared to market expectations of an advance to a level of -25.00. In the prior month, the balance of firms reporting total order book above normal had recorded a reading of -34.00.

Euro-zone construction output remained flat in June

In the Euro-zone, the seasonally adjusted construction output remained unchanged on a MoM basis in June. The construction output had dropped by a revised 0.50% in the previous month.

Canadian house price index rose in July

In Canada, the house price index climbed 0.70% on a MoM basis in July, compared to a rise of 0.80% in the previous month.

Canadian manufacturing sales fell less than expected in June

In Canada, manufacturing sales eased 1.20% on a MoM basis in June, compared to an advance of 1.60% in the prior month. Markets were expecting manufacturing sales to drop 1.80%.

Australian leading index rose in July

In Australia, the leading index recorded a rise of 0.10% on a MoM basis in July, compared to a drop of 0.08% in the prior month.
