UK CPI climbed more than expected in October
In the UK, the consumer price index (CPI) advanced 0.70% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 0.50% in the previous month. Markets were expecting the CPI to record a rise of 0.60%.
UK house price index rose in September
In the UK, the house price index climbed 4.70% on a YoY basis in September, compared to a revised rise of 3.00% in the previous month.
Euro-zone CPI dropped as expected in October
In the Euro-zone, the final CPI fell 0.30% on a YoY basis in October, in line with market forecast and compared to a drop of 0.30% in the previous month.
US housing starts advanced in October
In the US, housing starts advanced 4.90% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a revised rise of 6.30% in the previous month.
US building permits remained steady in October
In the US, building permits remained flat on a monthly basis in October, compared to a revised rise of 4.70% in the prior month.
