Germany Ifo business climate unexpectedly advanced in May
In Germany, the Ifo business climate index unexpectedly climbed to 93.00 in May, compared to a revised level of 91.90 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to 91.40.
Germany Ifo current assessment unexpectedly climbed in May
In Germany, the Ifo current assessment index unexpectedly climbed to 99.50 in May, compared to a revised reading of 97.30 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to 97.20.
Germany Ifo expectations unexpectedly rose in May
In Germany, the Ifo expectations index unexpectedly advanced to 86.90 in May, compared to a revised level of 86.80 in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to fall to a level of 85.80.
US Chicago Fed National Activity index improved in April
In the US, the Chicago Fed National Activity index climbed to a reading of 0.47 in April, compared to a revised level of 0.36 in the prior month.
Australia’s S&P Global manufacturing PMI declined more than anticipated in May
In Australia, the S&P Global manufacturing PMI fell to 55.30 in May, compared to a level of 58.80 in the prior month. Markets anticipations were for the manufacturing PMI to fall to 57.80.
