UK BRC like-for-like retail sales climbed more than expected in February
In the UK, the BRC like-for-like retail sales rose 4.90% on a YoY basis in February, compared to a rise of 3.90% in the prior month.
UK construction PMI advanced more than anticipated in February
In the UK, the S&P Global construction PMI climbed to 56.40 in February, compared to a level of 48.40 in the previous month. Market anticipations were for the construction PMI to rise to 48.50.
Euro-zone Sentix investor confidence declined more than expected in March
In the Euro-zone, the Sentix investor confidence index dropped to -11.10 in March, compared to a level of -8.00 in the prior month. Market expectations were for the index to fall to -8.60.
Euro-zone retail sales rose less than anticipated in February
In the Euro-zone, retail sales rose 0.30% on a MoM basis in February, compared to a revised fall of 1.60% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating retail sales to rise 1.00%.
US factory orders dropped less than anticipated in January
In the US, factory orders fell 1.60% on a MoM basis in January, compared to a revised rise of 1.70% in the prior month. Markets were expecting factory orders to fall 1.80%.
