UK Halifax house prices rose more than estimated in November

In the UK, the Halifax house prices advanced 0.50% on MoM basis in November, compared to a rise of 1.20% in the previous month. Market anticipations were for the Halifax house prices to rise 0.30%.

Euro-zone GDP fell as anticipated in 3Q23

In the Euro-zone, GDP dropped 0.10% on a QoQ basis in 3Q23, at par with market expectations and compared to a revised rise of 0.10% in the previous quarter.

German industrial production unexpectedly dropped in October

In Germany, industrial production unexpectedly fell 0.40% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a revised drop of 1.30% in the previous month.

US initial jobless claims advanced less than expected in the week ended 01 December 2023

In the US, initial jobless claims climbed to 220.00K in the week ended 01 December 2023, compared to a level of 219.00K in the prior week. Markets were expecting jobless claims to rise to 222.00K.
