UK S&P Global/CIPS services PMI rose more than anticipated in December

In the UK, the S&P Global/CIPS services PMI advanced to 52.70 in December, compared to a level of 50.90 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the PMI to rise to 51.00.

Euro-zone HCOB manufacturing PMI unexpectedly remained steady in December

In the Euro-zone, the HCOB manufacturing PMI unexpectedly remained unchanged at 44.20 in December.

Euro-zone HCOB services PMI unexpectedly fell in December

In the Euro-zone, the HCOB services PMI unexpectedly dropped to 48.10 in December, compared to a level of 48.70 in the prior month.

US S&P Global manufacturing PMI declined more than estimated in December

In the US, the S&P Global manufacturing PMI fell to 48.20 in December, compared to a level of 49.40 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the PMI to drop to 49.30.

US S&P Global services PMI unexpectedly rose in December

In the US, the S&P Global services PMI unexpectedly advanced to 51.30 in December, compared to a level of 50.80 in the previous month.
