Hexis Cyber Solutions lands US Government deal

Hexis Cyber Solutions, Inc. (Hexis), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The KEYW Holding Corporation (Nasdaq:KEYW), and a provider of advanced cybersecurity solutions for commercial companies and government agencies, today announced that a leading U.S. government agency has taken an initial delivery of its next-generation threat investigation and automated malware removal solution, HawkEye G, to deliver advanced threat detection and automated malware removal.

For security reasons the agency cannot be named.

All organizations, including government agencies, are susceptible to sophisticated malware attacks, putting high-value assets and sensitive information at risk. While many technologies on the market can detect threats, security professionals continue to get overburdened with the vast number of identified events, even while attackers continue to advance exploitation techniques to bypass defenses.

“To avoid an abundance of false positives and weakened defenses, organizations look for security solutions that deliver intelligent threat detection based on organizational data, deep analytical insight into the latest exploits, and capability to remove malware from the enterprise before compromise takes place,” said Chris Fedde, president, Hexis Cyber Solutions. “HawkEye G was built on a foundation of expertise from KEYW Corporation with deep understanding of how hackers think, how to defend against attacks and how to leverage analytics to respond to and remove advanced threats. Selection as a cybersecurity solution by the U.S. government validates the importance of machine-speed response to advanced threats.”

The U.S. government agency selected HawkEye G for advanced threat detection capability that leverages an embedded high performance event data warehouse with rich analytics. All at machine-speed, HawkEye G collects and analyzes host and network data to identify malicious code that has breached the perimeter, conducts security and forensics investigations to determine a comprehensive threat removal strategy, and deploys countermeasures to remove malware from affected devices. HawkEye G users also benefit from real-time protection against emerging threats with new analytics, countermeasures and software updates through the cloud.
