For those who are long, one of the metrics oft overlooked is the percentage of OS in Institutional hands.

For LUNR, this number is up 1/2 of a percentage point to 26.2.

An increase in shares held by funds and similar institutions is a sign of confidence in the company's performance (by groups with lots of cash to protect and grow.)

Now, if this 2nd lunar landing next month goes well, this will be grand for us all .

Note that the price was relatively stable after about mid day...and is up to 20.06 a/h

I'm sure my calls are way off their +82 and +84% levels, but they're LEAPS, not expiring till 2026, so I'm happy.
If both IM-2 and IM-3 go well, those calls could possibly be worth 3-5x or $75-125,000! And my shares 100k-200k--if not by next January, perhaps a year or two later.

Nokia Bell Labs developed the LSCS and Intuitive Machines created the Micro-Nova Hopper in partnership with NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate via its Tipping Point initiative, which funds industry-developed space technologies that can foster the development of commercial space capabilities and benefit future NASA missions. One of the goals of Intuitive Machines’ second lunar mission will be to use the Micro-Nova Hopper and the LSCS to test new sensor instruments that could help identify and map precious resources on the Moon, like water ice. The Micro-Nova Hopper, named Grace, is designed to descend into permanently shadowed lunar craters. There it may use these new sensors to scan for large concentrations of hydrogen, which are indicative of ice deposits. All data collected by the Micro-Nova would then be transmitted over the Nokia network to Athena, where it would be relayed back to Earth.

The Mobile Autonomous Prospecting Platform (MAPP) rover was developed by Lunar Outpost. Once on the lunar surface, the MAPP rover is designed to exit from a protective enclosure on Athena, extend its antennas, and establish a connection to Nokia’s cellular network on Athena. The MAPP rover will then begin a multi-day journey exploring the Moon's south pole region, mapping the lunar surface while collecting stereo imagery and vital environmental data along the way.

(Nasdaq: LUNR, LUNRW) (“Intuitive Machines”) and Nokia (NYSE: NOK, Euronext: NOKIA) announced the successful final integration of Nokia’s Lunar Surface Communication System (“LSCS”) into the IM-2 mission lander, named Athena. Athena and the LSCS will voyage to the lunar south pole region in the upcoming IM-2 mission, where Nokia and Intuitive Machines intend to deploy the first cellular network on the Moon.

After months of testing and validation with Nokia Bell Labs, Intuitive Machines engineers installed the LSCS “network in a box” to one of Athena’s upper carbon-composite panels. Multiple precautions were taken during the installation to help ensure that the network will safely make the 239,000-mile journey to the Moon, survive the stresses of take-off and landing, and operate optimally on the lunar surface. Each of the 14 mounting points is thermally isolated to keep the network insulated from the extremely low temperatures of deep space. Intuitive Machines also integrated the network into Athena’s Thermal Protection System. This system will expel heat when the network is operating, and it will supply heat to protect the network when it is idle.

Two device modules make up additional components of Nokia’s LSCS, and they have been installed in two lunar mobility vehicles: Intuitive Machines’ Micro-Nova Hopper and Lunar Outpost’s Mobile Autonomous Prospecting Platform (MAPP) rover. Upon landing on the Moon, the two vehicles are designed to deploy on the lunar surface where they would immediately use the Nokia device modules to establish connections to the network on Athena.

The LSCS utilizes the same 4G/LTE cellular technology used by billions of devices on Earth, though Nokia Bell Labs reconceptualized the system to meet the unique requirements of a lunar mission. The network is engineered to handle surface connectivity between the lander and vehicles, carrying high-definition video streaming, command-and-control communications and telemetry data. Intuitive Machines expects to relay data from the LSCS back to Earth using its direct-to-Earth data transmission service.

“We intend to prove that cellular technologies can provide the reliable, high-capacity and efficient connectivity needed for future crewed and uncrewed missions to the Moon and eventually Mars,” said Thierry E. Klein, President of Bell Labs Solutions Research at Nokia. “Cellular technology has irrevocably transformed the way we communicate on Earth. There’s no reason it can’t do the same for communications on other worlds.”

I'm now in with 3540 shares across a few accounts at an average of about 7.50 (Edit, see below, my average is now over 8.00--woe is me, lol!!) and I have a big paper profit (some $45k) in two Jan 26 LEAPS.

Woke up late this am, and then moved my yearly allowed $8000 into my ROTH.... By the time I made a trade, it had moved off the day's low. But, I was able to add 120 shares at about 19.55.... and had some cash in my trad IRA and got another 120 shares at 19.54. Not bad-didn't miss the day's low by much.

Back above $20.

That it be!! Well, except for it being back to its old tricks, way up early on, then down... heck, its pulled back over $1.50 in the last 30 minutes....

Decided to get more calls--Jan 26 $12.50 and 22.50 just yesterday.. paper profit of $3000 already!

My jan 17 '25 calls are recovering and are now up some 36 %

This is the real prize. The lunar missions are nice, but once this is up and running, it's a new ball game!

Once the Lunar Constellation is up and running, all NASA and Artemis countries will likely rely on that network for communication, and it will be offered as a pay-by-the-minute service so that's an additional stream of revenue that not many models have probably yet accounted for.

IM will split the $4.2 bil contract between four other companies.IM won NSNS 1.2 and 2.2. They appear to be the larger of the contracts. Will have to wait til !st Q conference call for some more specific details

It will not land in February. The launch is tentatively scheduled for February 27. The launch date has not been confirmed by IM yet though. The February launch is listed as NET Feb 27 on SpaceX docket. NASA website. But I repeat, there is no formal confirmation from IM

I don't feel there's anything to worry about. The low dilution price was likely an average and not derived from the recent trading price, at the time of issuance.

Agree - last dip on Nov14 was of equal size and now its below the 20... speaks oversold to me.
So much time until the actual missions. I think it will keep going.

PM trades looking fine,taking into account that the offering was priced at 10.50. Lets hope we dont dip below 11.But if it does, will add more(already added last night & this morning).Anyone here playing the Warrants-LUNRW? Bought some of those too just now.

LUNR needed money.
It should come close to the PP price $10.50.
Rocket stocks are still in play so I expect strong buying anything under $11 this morning.
Will likely recover back to $15 by early January.
Personally, I think RKLB is the best public rocket stock
JMO.
