Visionworks Helps Customers Accessorize
Fashionably This Spring
This spring, Visionworks and visionworks.com invite customers to
transform their look with new affordable fashion accessories to
frame their face - eyeglasses. When it comes to the top trends for
celebrating spring, Visionworks loves fashion influenced by a
unique blend of materials and a palate of both bold and subtle
colors with fun details in many shapes and sizes.
“This spring promises to be a season filled with retro-modern
newness; inviting all eyeglass wearers to indulge in fresh colors
combinations, making a bold fashion statement. For men, the
detailing we saw in fall continue with handsome accents of visible
nail heads and hinges to wire, giving him a gallant, yet daring
appearance,” said Sherry Lay, Visionworks’ EVP/Chief Merchandising
Officer. “For women, we love marbled tortoise shell frames, which
are always a classic, as well as new lightweight metals, giving the
appearance of a plastic frame. And, of course, oversized frames
continue to be a hit with fashionistas.”
Visionworks is adding and/or expanding fashion brand frames from
Diane von Furstenberg, Anne Klein, Just Cavalli, Nine West,
Lacoste, Diesel and Timberland to its already impressive fashion
lineup. New styles will be available in select stores across the
U.S. in Spring 2015.
Jim Eisen, president of Visionworks and CEO of HVHC, added, “To
help customers find the right frames for their face, we offer the
Better You Frame Finder on Visionworks.com. Shoppers simply upload
their photo and virtually try on frames that fit their personal
style and face shape. Customers can even share photos wearing their
frame choices with Facebook friends and get their votes before they
come in to the store.”
Visionworks Top Fashion Trends for Spring 2015:
For the Guys:
- TWO-TONE - Subtle color
variations offer an update to men’s frames and highlight temple
details like logos, metal plaques and laser cutouts.
- SLIM LINE SQUARE - Frames with
natural elements in matte-finish wood-grain patterns or durable
brushed metals are sure to fit any man’s style.
- HARDWARE - The hardware store
has been brought to men’s eyewear. Metal details like visible nail
heads, hinges, and wiring accent these frames.
For the Ladies:
- OVERSIZED - Deeper frames are an
ongoing trend in fashion and all the rage with highlighted brows
and temples. This season a pop of color has been added to women’s
oversized frames to really grab attention.
- FLAT METAL – An emerging trend
in women’s eyewear is flat front metals. This style has the
appearance of a plastic frame, but is actually a more lightweight
metal. Matte finishes in black and bronze are leading colors.
For all:
- COLOR BLOCK – Gradient
(dip-dye), ombré and two-tone color blocking are inspired by runway
fashions featuring the same trend.
- TORT - Tortoise shell eyewear is
a staple. Available in spotted or marbled effect subtle torts with
vibrant pops of color give a new dimension. Tortoise is a classic
that never goes out of style.
