The global pandemic due to the Coronavirus has halted virtually the whole business world, with many companies not even being able to stay afloat at all. Many have had to cut back on luxuries and make being redundant just to ensure that they will get through as not everyone has received financial help from their governments. However, some areas of the business world that have somehow benefitted from the lockdown and today we look deeper into those.
Firstly, is Ecommerce marketplaces such as Amazon; in fact they have already said they are going to employ a further 100,000 people just to manage the extra demand from the virus as people were worried about leaving the house to do their shopping so resulted in using online alternatives. Other examples of Ecommerce thriving are that online food supplier Ocado suspended all ordered back in March so that it could tackle the back log of orders it had received at the beginning of the lockdown.

With marketplaces having increased traffic and orders going through their site, they’ve needed logistics companies to ensure that the increased demand is also making sure they are hitting customer satisfaction levels. Companies like Yodel, DPD and Hermes have all experienced higher level of deliveries and have also had to hire more staff to be able to cope with them. The pharmaceutical industry is another that has benefitted from Covid-19 as they have played such a big role in the height of the crisis. Many pharmaceutical companies are still slaving away to try and find a vaccine for the deadly virus, as well as other trying to scale up the production of tests so countries can pinpoint break outs and try and contain as much as possible.
THANK YOU to all 100,000 people who have volunteered to take part in Britain’s #coronavirus vaccine trials.
This is an important milestone in our national effort to defeat this unprecedented virus & shows the selflessness of the British public

Finally, in contrast to them all, some industries have suffered when it’s come to the pandemic, and none more that the sports-betting industry. With zero sport on around the world at all, punters have been unable to access the markets due to the lack of sport. Luckily for operators, this is now up and running again and at Betting Sites Not on Gamstop, the deals that new customers are likely to receive now are immense, alongside their usual high deposit matches and in-depth markets – all of this without the worry that you are going to be stopped by the likes of Gamstop.
