Source: GlobeNewswire Inc.

Costco Wholesale Corporation (β€œCostco” or the β€œCompany”) (Nasdaq: COST) today reported net sales of $24.62 billion for the retail month of September, the five weeks ended October 6, 2024, an increase of 9.0 percent from $22.59 billion last year.
Comparable sales were as follows:

5 Weeks

U.S. 6.5%
Canada 5.7%
Other International 8.5%

Total Company 6.7%

Other International 9.6%

Total Company 8.9%

This year's total and comparable sales for the retail month of September benefitted by approximately two percent in the U.S. and one and one-half percent worldwide as a result of the increased sales in the final week of the month due to abnormal consumer activity associated with Hurricane Helene and port strikes.

I understand you there. I visit Wally World a lot too because it is a nice stock to own. I made a pile of money with progressive and had my insurance with them. Then the increased my premiums significantly with no at fault accidents and I had to change to Allstate. Now i own shares of both

Every time I visit any Costco , it seems packed with customers, I like to invest in companies I go and visit, touch and feel , not all brick and mortar , even technology type entities, I believe in visiting the companies even if I have a tiny stake , I have also visited startups , micro cap, mid cap , it gives me some real idea of the overall business, imo and my plan for Costco buy the dips , keep accumulating

He has $1.2 mill of Costco bought at IPO. Never touched it. That’s how it’s done.

The increase in the unemployment rate from the previous month, despite the positive NFP data, is bearish. This suggests a potential weakness or instability in the labor market despite the overall positive NFP data.

Costco may suffer lawsuits due to gender discrimination because they force "men" to push shopping carts by cleaning up the parking lot at night while "women" get to stay inside.
