The YouTube vids are going crazy and everyone seems very impressed by Tesla's RoboTaxi/CyberCab.

It won't matter - they will take it up another 30 bucks.    Nothing news worthy matters here.

I said I was going to wait until the…….

Robo launch to possibly get back in.

I haven’t yet, but I just wanted to see the responses to the successful launch.

It’s quite amusing.

Happy Monday!

https://www.topgear.com/car-news/hybrid/toyota-has-electrified-chonky-new-land-cruiser

Wouldn’t a potential buyer of a Truck/SUV be a whole lot cooler in a Cybertruck than a Land Cruiser!!! I mean Elon showed on X a Cybertruck beating a souped up Lamborghini down the street, and with FSD why wouldn’t you invest in a Cybertruck? Plus, is the SUV in this article bullet proof and awesome in floods?? And the Cybertruck has outlets and you could power your home when the power goes out!!!! It seems like you would have to be brain dead not to buy, lease or finance a Cybertruck!!!! The Cybertruck may be more expensive, but it’s worth it!!!!

Tesla Robotaxi Incidents Draw Scrutiny From US Safety Agency

(Bloomberg) -- US auto safety regulators are looking into incidents where Tesla Inc.’s self-driving robotaxis appeared to violate traffic laws during the company’s first day offering paid rides in Austin.

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is aware of the incidents that were captured in videos posted on social media and is gathering additional information from the company, the agency said in a statement to Bloomberg. NHTSA officials regularly interact with automakers on safety matters, and it’s common for those discussions to stop short of a formal investigation.

“Following an assessment of those reports and other relevant information, NHTSA will take any necessary actions to protect road safety,” the agency said on Monday.

In one video taken by investor Rob Maurer, who used to host a Tesla podcast, a Model Y he’s riding in enters an Austin intersection in a left-turn-only lane. The Tesla hesitates to make the turn, swerves right and proceeds into an unoccupied lane meant for traffic moving in the opposite direction.

A honking horn can be heard as the Tesla re-enters the correct lane over a double-yellow line, which drivers aren’t supposed to cross.

In two other posts on X, initial riders in driverless Model Ys shared footage of Teslas speeding. A vehicle carrying Sawyer Merritt, a Tesla investor, reached 35 miles per hour shortly after passing a 30 miles per hour speed limit sign, a video he posted shows.

In a separate live stream from Herbert Ong, a YouTuber with more than 123,000 subscribers, he commented that the vehicle was going faster than the posted limit of 35 miles per hour.

Representatives for Tesla and the Austin Police Department didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on the videos. The automaker recalled more than 362,000 vehicles in February 2023 after NHTSA said its driver-assistance system may allow cars to infringe on local traffic laws.

NHTSA continues to investigate the performance of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving suite of automated driver-assist features. The agency is examining how the system performs at times when visibility is limited by glare, dust or fog.

Another video posted Sunday captured two riders in a driverless Model Y having trouble after pressing a button on the rear screen of the vehicle to indicate that they wanted the vehicle to pull over.

After the YouTuber who goes by Bearded Tesla Guy pressed the button, a message popped up on the screen indicating that the Model Y would find a safe location to pull over. But rather than execute a pull-over maneuver, the vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the road.

After the riders have a brief discussion with a remote customer-support worker who gets the Tesla going again, it took a second conversation with remote support to get the Model Y to route to the riders’ desired drop-off destination.

I haven’t been in TESLER. I told you……

I would wait until after the launch, as TESLER is often event driven.

Funny that you remember what you want to remember.

I asked you earlier about your “valuation” research and you have no response.

The only suggestion you have regarding investing is to keep doubling down when the market is plainly telling you that YOU’RE WRONG!

GL Shorty!

I don't comment after the fact. I listen......

to the here and now.

What's to gain by posting 24/7 TESLER is a train wreck as she continues to run up in price?

Everyone was supposed to die in Austin, but that didn't happen, and the market responded positively.

But there sure was a lot of NOISE before the launch, wasn't there?

What a waste of time that was.

The what you call "noise" creates a market reaction so if you do not listen to the noise you cannot predict a market reaction would love to hear you predict anything besides commenting after the fact,.............

Have you done research on valuations vs……

wealth creation?

I was thinking of comments here when I saw this posted.

Scroll down and see Tony’s response, which is spot on.

Wild stat—but here’s the kicker:

Most of those 2%? You never spot 'em early by reading balance sheets.

It's narrative + timing > fundamentals.

"Only 2% of [public] companies [over the last century] were responsible for more than 90% of the aggregate net wealth creation." Long term public market investing = venture capital investing, whether you like it or not! HT @mjmauboussin pic.twitter.com/w0nKJrIOAz— Marc Andreessen 🇺🇸 (@pmarca) June 22, 2025

It’s called listening to the markets.

Happy Monday!

Tesla Robotaxi Videos Show Speeding, Driving Into Wrong Lane

(Bloomberg) -- Tesla Inc.’s self-driving taxis appeared to violate traffic laws during the company’s first day offering paid rides, with one customer capturing footage of a left turn gone wrong and others traveling in cars that exceeded posted speed limits.

In a video taken by Rob Maurer, an investor who used to host a Tesla podcast, the Model Y he’s riding in enters an Austin intersection in a left-turn-only lane. The Tesla hesitates to make the turn, swerves right and proceeds into an unoccupied lane meant for traffic moving in the opposite direction.

Same old FUD foisted by those hell bent on destroying Tesla. Over a year ago, the current FSD was not in any vehicles. Will there be accidents? Sure, but I say they will be caused by other drivers making doofus moves. Time will prove that what I am seeing every day in my Tesla is very real and staggeringly phenomenal. You don't drive it and have no idea how it works now. Your only wish it that Tesla is destroyed along with it fearless leader. Fud, Fud and more FUD!

I do not believe he is wishing that but rather being a realist. After all we have situations where Teslas without an actual driver have hit and run over humans, e.g. the kid a little over a year ago who got off a school bus and was hit by a Tesla without an actual human driver in it.

I watched the pre market trading last night. I was marginally up. I was actually just puzzled how Wall Street would take the attack. My best guess last night was marginally up of down, probably up. It is up more than I would have thought though. Best guess is, Wall street is waiting to see what Iran does to get even. Shutting down the Straight of Hormuz should pump the price of oil and gas. However the ones who really won't like that is Europe. We have plenty of oil here in the U.S. Wall Street seems to be taking a hide and watch for now strategy. A good point to make bets with puts and calls is the straight is closed. (Iran will really lose at that point, much of Europe may well jump in as well.
I am not surprised at TSLA/s rise today after the Robo Taxi day. However, that will not last very long. JMHO.

I have now watched several videos of the Robo Taxi day. What I saw was the same thing I see very day when I get into my Tesla. A system that is almost flawless. (Almost) It needs no geofencing, no country it can't drive in and no need for intervention. (well almost) Most of my interventions are because I am not trusting enough. I am only on Version 12 on HW 3. I can imagine how much better version 13 on HW 4 is. Soon HW 5 will be out.
