BC Capital Regional District Awards Wastewater Data Contract to FlowWorks

VANCOUVER, April 7, 2020 /CNW/ - The Capital Regional District ("CRD") has awarded Carl Data Solutions' Inc. (CSE: CRL, OTCQB: CDTAF, FSE:7C5) ("Carl Data") wholly owned subsidiary FlowWorks, Inc. ("FlowWorks") a multi-year contract to undertake the provision of wastewater flow data analytics software for the CRD Core Area flow meter network. The CRD operates a network flow meters within the Greater Victoria Region of British Columbia. The data from these meters is used for operations, modelling, capital planning, cost apportionment/billing, compliance monitoring, inflow and infiltration measurements and reporting.

The CRD is the regional government for 13 municipalities and three electoral areas on southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, serving more than 413,000 people who live and work near the capital of the Province of British Columbia.

The new turn-key solution includes hardware, telemetry and SaaS based monitoring software to assist in mine operations and safety. Astra's EDLs, or air quality arrays, will be deployed at active mine sites in southeastern B.C. and in Chile, as part of two paid pilot projects running four to six months.

The air quality arrays have been developed as part of a complete solution that includes the hardware, software and telemetry required to measure particulate matter and gases in the air around resource development projects. The integrated platform was built to provide a cost effective and extremely efficient way for resource development projects to collect and analyze environmental data on site. We are at the beginning of something big and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all shareholders for your trust and support Carl as well as provide an update on the company. The team is working extremely hard to ensure Carl Data reaches its full potential both as a publicly listed company and as a provider of unique Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Big Data services for government and Industry. I am pleased with and very proud of accomplishments and new developments happening at Carl Data.

With the recent $2.3 million contract signed, Carl is rapidly approaching profitability. Our core technology platform was built to specifically to handle these very large 7 to 8 figure projects allowing us to deploy multiple solutions concurrently without significantly expanding our staff or operating costs. We are just beginning to achieve our goal of high revenue growth with minimal additional investment required. The two greatest strengths of our technology are: 1. the solution is extremely scalable, and 2. we can integrate practically any data source. This means fast deployments and higher margins as new clients are added. These two main features are critical to our success as we expand globally. I am happy to report that since we have closed this latest deal, interest in our company and our products has increased from both domestic and international leads and partnerships that we have been actively pursuing.

Our latest industry leading products built on our core platform have been well received.
