What would you expect him to say? He was leaving because PRKR is in a hopeless long and soon to be much longer drawn out fight they cannot win against a very hostile judge who will find a way to boot the case? lol

Neverending, what you describe is, unfortunately, all too common in what has become our rigged legal system.
And yes, it will be an uphill battle for the little guy to receive justice in a legal landscape that has been tilted to favor big money.
Somehow, I have managed not to become jaded, and believe that there still some honest judges out there. But it is a crap shoot.

The thing is federal district court judges get a lot of lee way in their rulings before appeals courts intervene. This judge was just a little to eager a little too soon in the case for the appeals court not to intervene. Appeals courts usually defer to the district courts rulings because the district court judges have seen the evidence and know the case. The current ruling mind set in the federal judiciary is that companies that hold patents but are not current significant manufacturers should not get patent protection and actually hinder innovation. I have seen a federal district court judge in another case actually give the patent "troll" (NPE) a favorable markman ruling in 1 case and the patent troll won a jury award only for the same judge in another trial with the same patents then give a markman ruling that defined the patents terms so that the patent troll could not win. A summary judgement of non infringement was then granted by the judge. The judge went on to work for a major tech company that is well known. In my opinion PRKR cannot win in the current legal environment. You should know about these facts.

Thanks for your candor, Neverending. Perhaps you are correct about this judge's ostensible bias, however, if this is true he should recuse himself from hearing this case because of his inability to consider the evidence objectively. For a judge to attempt to manipulate the outcome of a trial would be serious judicial misconduct, and could also constitute valid grounds for Parker Vision to appeal.
Based upon my experience, nothing can be taken for granted in these patent litigation cases, which means that this could go either way.
I am pulling for the little guy in this instance, because I believe that the abused patent owner has become the victim of a corrupt system. I would like to see justice prevail.

The judge has not yet had the Markman hearing to possibly adopt QCOMs claims construction term defititions. I am expecting he will as that is the easy way to end this trial for PRKR and I believe the judge is committed to that end. What convinces me of this is the flimsy reasons he tried to get rid of PRKR before in this trial that the appeals court reversed. The appeals court told this judge that IF he had just got the case a little further along they would NOT have reversed his booting PRKR to the curb. The judge now knows what he has to do to get rid of PRKR. In my opinion.

There are numerous reasons why a board member may decide to leave. The "rats" leaving a "sinking ship" scenario is but one, however speculative, possible explanation. A definitive material event such as this should trigger an 8-K filing with the SEC. Perhaps this board member will cite a totally different and plausible explanation, than the one you propose.
As regards a new Markman hearing, are you sure that this judge has already adopted Qualcomm's term definitions, or is this more speculation on your part?
👍️ 1
Neverending Neverending 5 days ago
Board member resigning! Rats leaving a sinking ship in my opinion. It is a very bad sign my friends. I see the judge granting QCOMs motion for another Markman hearing then he adopts QCOMs definition of your patent terms upon which nobody could infringe. Then its QCOM motion for summary judgement of non infringement time which the judge will grant. Then you are DONE. The appeals court won't touch it because the last time they overturned this judges attempt to boot you to the curb they said if you had just adjudicated (proceeded) a little further in the case they would not have granted PRKRs appeal. Mark my words my friends. That is how they get rid of patent trolls. IMO.

ParkerVision has won a significant victory in its patent infringement lawsuit against Qualcomm, with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit overturning a prior ruling and sending the case back to Florida for a jury trial, potentially allowing ParkerVision to pursue damages.
Fingers are crossed!

After doing a bit of research, this is my summary. Qualcomm challenged the validity of Parker Vision's '940 RF patent by filing an IPR request at the PTAB. The PTAB found that some of Parker Vision's patent claims were valid while some were invalid.

Parker Vision is requesting that only the valid claims be used against Qualcomm in an upcoming trial.
Another problem is that the judge disallowed Parker Vision's expert witness because he felt that the jury was not capable of understanding the technical jargon presented, and that this case should not even be tried by a jury.
This exclusion left parker Vision with no expert rebuttal against qualcomm's expert witness.

Not sure where things stand currently, but I am hoping that Parker vision's expert witness testimony will be allowed at some point to rebutt qualcomms expert witness.
What IS in Parker Vision's favor is that the law does not allow the loser of an IPR challenge, Qualcomm, to use the same
arguments of patent invalidity at jury trial.
There is still hope for Parker Vision.

I have seen many non-practising entities (patent trolls) like PRKR get kicked to the curb by federal judges. The judges the politicians have appointed all believe patent trolls like PRKR harm innovation. They use their wide discretion to get rid of their cases just like your PRKR vs QCOM1 case. These federal judges can basically do what they want and if the legal process has been adjudicated long enough the appeals courts do not retry the cases. That is why PRKR "won" the recent appeal. The appeals court said if the judge had just waited a bit until the case had gone past a Markman ruling they would not have intervened. You cannot win and 50c will soon seem like a gift my friend. I am trying to help you with my knowledge of politics and the law. IMO.

Well, Neverending, you apparently have it all figured out, play by play. You must have a crystal ball.
I may be wasting my time explaining my viewpoints, as I suspect that your mind is already made up.
When I say we won in court, obviously, that was when the jury came back with a unanimous verdict in favor of Parker Vision, and before the judge mysteriously intervened while the litigants were in the process of working out a damage assessment. What is the point in having a jury trial if the judge is going to rule against them after they have already arrived at a verdict?
I think that normally when a jury returns a verdict, the trial is over. This judge's actions are beyond suspicious, and Parker Vision deserves some answers.
Perhaps the new DOJ will investigate this.
👍️ 2
Neverending Neverending 4 weeks ago
Actually you lost in court. The judge threw out the verdict as it was not supported by the facts in evidence and your "expert" witness totally undermined your case. So no PRKR has never won in court. The stock is retracing back down to the 20c range I believe because a new trial will be dragged out as long as possible by this judge and he will be looking for any procedural way to end your case. I expect he will do it with a Markman ruling that will not allow PRKR to prevail. Then QCOM will file a motion for summary judgement to dismiss the case. The appeals court will then not get involved because the trial will have been more advanced which is what they advised this judge to do unless they want them to intervene. IMO my friend!

Neverending, when you assert that "Parker can not win in court", this is conjecture, not fact. Actually, they did win in court and, if justice prevails, they can do it again.
You contradict yourself when you state that the company is valued at over $50 million, yet it is worth nothing.
The investment community disagrees with you because a company that is worth nothing would be trading sub-penny, not in the half dollar range.
Again, I disagree with your characterization of Parker Vision as a patent troll, because, unlike patent trolls, Parker Vision produces a chip, and I believe other products as well.
When you say that Parker "looks like a nut", I find him to be well spoken, sincere, sane, and determined to defend his property rights as he navigates through a gauntlet of corruption.
Again, a company that "died" years ago would not be trading in the half dollar range and be valued at over $50 million dollars, nor would they have a pending court date where, if justice prevails, $50 million will look like chump change. JMHO.

Parker is not a patent troll. They created a device that Qualcomm stole and profited from for many years. Get your head out of you *** and put your yourself in their shoes. Big difference!
👍️ 2
Neverending Neverending 4 weeks ago
Parker looks like a nut at this point or just working a paycheck. His company died when it failed 25 years ago and certainly died when it lost in court in 2013. It is now 2025 and the patents expired YEARS ago. Collecting on expired patents had always had marginal results. PRKR is currently valued at over 50 MILLION. It is worth nothing because they cannot win in court. IMO I have seen these patent trolls go down again and again. They never win.

chazzy1 chazzy1 4 weeks ago
Well, Neverending, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and, who knows, you may turn out to be right. However, I don't have a crystal ball and unless you do, it's anybody's guess. As you yourself admit, these cases are unpredictible. I feel that PRKR is worth speculating on and I happen to like Jeff Parker's assessment of the situation. During discovery, Parker Vision attorneys alledgedly became aware of interoffice communications at Qualcomm essentially admitting to using Parker Vision's chip in their products.
If true, this would be a piece of damning evidence which the jury would have considered in their unanimous verdict in favor of Parker Vision. At this juncture, the trial was over, and the litigants were supposed to be working out a damage assessment when the judge reversed the jury's verdict. No new evidence was allowed as the trial was over. It seems very suspicious to me, and I am willing to put up some money in the hope that justice prevails for Parker Vision. Who knows, if they win on appeal, treble damages may be at play for willful infringement. JMHO.

"case which was mysteriously overturned under suspicious" - This was the PRKR vs QCOM 1 trial. The judge found that PRKRs expert witness did in fact undermine their case and he threw out the jury award. I say PRKR cannot win because the judges have great latitude to spike your case if they want. I once saw a judge change his markman ruling for a patent from one the patent troll actually won at trial with to one that there was no way they could win in a subsequent trial. That judge went on to work for big tech. IMO my friend you cannot win.
👍️0
chazzy1 chazzy1 4 weeks ago
Thank you Neverending. You seem to have a different perspective on this than me. I am starting to wonder what, if any, your connection is to the litigants.
My understanding, from listening to Jeff Parker, is that Parker Vision is still waiting for a court date to be scheduled for the appeal of the case which was mysteriously overturned under suspicious circumstances, after winning a unanimous verdict in a jury trial.
I am not clear as to exactly what you are saying. Please clarify.
👍 3
Neverending Neverending 4 weeks ago
You proved my point! Even when PRKR did win at trial the judge threw it out. The judges are looking for any and all reasons to end your case. The appeals court actually said if the Florida judge whose dismissal they just overturned had just waited a little bit and the trial had been in a more advanced stage they would NOT have overturned his dismissal! It is in the appeals court opinion. You should read it. The appeals court told the judge how to end PRKRs case for good. IMO my friend.

Excuse me, Neverending, but how is it "naive" to be in agreement with the legal team of the plaintiff, Parker Vision?
Also, Parker Vision could not be classified as an NPE because they produce a chip, and I believe a few other products as well.
Actually, Parker Vision DID win a unanimous jury verdict, which was mysteriously overturned by the judge under suspicious circumstances. That judge was allegedly having secret communications with the Obama DOJ.
Due to the unpredictable nature of infringement litigation, it would be naive to suggest that Parker Vision has no chance
of winning if they can get a fair trial.
They also have other irons in the fire, with infringement claims against other defendants unrelated to the Qualcomm case.
Finally, with the Trump administration aligned against big tech (example: the new DOJ has just filed an anti-trust suit against Amazon), Parker Vision stands a better chance at getting justice now than at any time prior. JMHO.
👍️ 2
Neverending Neverending 1 month ago
You are naive. They can wait out the trump admin with years of legal process. PRKR is finished because the legal environment is totally against NPEs like PRKR. Yes I think there is corruption. I was invested in a company that won a Markman ruling then in a subsequent trial the same judge totally reversed his markman ruling so the NPE could not win then granted the big tech companies motion for summary judgement of non infringement. That judge went on to work for Facebook.
👍️0
DesktopDR DesktopDR 1 month ago
So I'm guessing that you can't see the corruption here? There is so much undeniable proof that is keeping the corrupt judges up at night from nightmares. I believe that the new people in office at the USPTO would love to do the right thing and fix this and would also love to make corrupt Obama look bad. I'm staying long.

So you think that the judge that just sank PRKRs Florida case and got spanked by the appeals court is going to suddenly do anything favorable for PRKR? This judge and most of them were appointed because of their anti patent troll (non practising entity) belief that patent trolls harm innovation. This judge is also consideting QCOMs motion for another Markman hearing. The Markman hearing and subsequent ruling defines the patent legally. QCOM seeks to define PRKRs patent so that nobody infringes then request a summary judgement of non infringement. If QCOM wins that motion EXPECT this judge to now define PRKRs patent in a way favorable to QCOM. Then comes the summary judgement and your case is over. How could the judge possible do another Markman unfavorable to you when he has already done one favorable to you? I have actually seen this exact scenario before in the federal courts. The problem is PRKRs investors think they can actually win when that is not at all the case and they have not won in court ever (in the end). The 1 time PRKR did win back in 2013 and actually got a jury award the judge simply threw out the verdict saying the evidence did not support it! Then the appeals court let it stand. 56c is a GIFT. The stock is actually worthless. IN my opinion.

Everyone be patient, things are not dead and are still looking very strong. Parker Vision is waiting for a Qualcomm trial date. The judge is currently about to rule on some pre-trial motions. Parker Vision is hoping he will set a trial date following those rulings. They are also waiting on trial dates for MediaTek, Realtech, Texas Instruments and NXP. Those are for infringement on other patents that are not connected to the Qualcomm case. Those trial dates are expected for the second half of this year and the early part of 2026.

Parker Vision, among other IP petitioners are denied a hearing at SCOTUS regarding "rule 36" which they claim violates rule 144. As it stands, an appellate court can rule against a patent owner with a simple rejection without offering any explanation for the decision. As I see it, this SCOTUS decision is not a rejection of the merits of Parker Vision's IP. Parker Vision was hoping, in their SCOTUS petition, to create a more fair legal landscape for all IP owners. It was a long shot but worth an attempt. JMHO.

Unless I'm reading something wrong, it doesn't look dead to me:
The U.S Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ("CAFC") overturned the federal district court's 2022 summary judgement ruling that dismissed the case prior to a jury trial in its patent infringement action against Qualcomm and ended the case. The CAFC's decision remanded the case back to be reopened in the district court in the Middle District of Florida (Orlando division) for trial.

A trial date has not yet been set by the district court. The court has indicated it will set a date for trial following its ruling on remaining outstanding motions, including Qualcomm's motion for a third claim construction hearing, the Company's motion to substitute its technical expert due to serious medical issues, and Daubert motions regarding damages, among others.

Sadly many of you will have to learn a valuable lesson about investing and the law by losing your money on PRKR. Pie in the sky crazy valuations for companies that produce nothing and cannot win in court are not a good bet. I have seen this happen with several other patent trolls and am trying to help u. Sell it the stock is junk they will never make enough in settlements to even justify the $1 current share price. IMO my friends.

The market cap is now $100 MILLION! There is simply no way the stock is worth this much. I seriously doubt they get anything more than "nuisance value" settlements (go away money). Companies will give PRKR 1-2 million because that is what it would cost them in lawyers to make this pest go away. The company will put out PRs saying these tiny settlements are a great victory! They are actually a loss. The company is harassing productive companies who actually make products you use. The judges will shut them down. Sell whilst you can my friends. $1 is a GIFT! In my opinion.

Yeah that's what I heard on the radio yesterday.
The attention this is going to get will be MASSIVE!!
When Beck gets a hold on something like this he will not let it go.
There will be more - much more from Beck on ParkerVision and what has been going on in the industry and the revolution that is just getting started as of yesterday. I suspect we will hear Donald Trump address this issue at sometime in the not to distant future "Live" on TV. If you've been keeping up you know that Trump has been on TV "Live" every single day since inauguration and he even knows how to find his own way on and off stage.

This time frame is when the interview with the CEO and Glen Beck was airing on talk radio channels nationwide. So…. Millions of people heard it as I did. I was on my way to my chiropractor and turned on the radio and heard most of it. I was like WTF. It’s outrageous how this company got screwed by Corrupt Government - those mentioned in the interview and article I linked to. I had never heard of ParkerVision until I turned on the radio this morning. When I got back home I started doing the DD. This thing is just getting started. They mentioned Pam Bondi our new US Attorney General several times and how she’s going to come down on this crap very, very hard and make things right. It’s not just this company it’s many other company’s that have been screwed out of patents by Big Tech with Big Corrupt Government on the take. Qualcomm is going to pay Bigtime and rightfully so.

I’m going to try and find a link tomorrow to the audio.

New Sherriff In Town
Glen Beck featured this company today with an interview with ParkerVision CEO Jeff Parker.
If Glen is all over it = Trump will be soon and the Sheet is going to hit the fan for Qualcomm and bunch of crooked politicians. My guess is by the end of 2025 ParkerVision will be awarded a massive settlement and patent rights. Knowing this late breaking stuff I’m going to be looking at buying all I can get next week. Do a web search for: glen beck parkervision. And you will see this theblaze headline dated = Today 1/30/2025

I sure hope u guys sold some! Don't be greedy with this get rich quick scheme they always turn out to be losers. The judges will sink this patent troll quick as it is the politics of the times we are in and has been for some time. The big tech companies work the politicians with money and the politicians have appointed judges who feel companies who hold patents but produce nothing should not have patent protection since they are not using them. Then its off to waiting YEARS only to lose your appeal. IMO my friends.
