He has spent $$Billions of outside investors money to benefit China and Chinese officials by selling off NIO Power. Now he is giving away NIO’s autonomous driving chip and operating system to the entire industry. The driving chip would give NIO a profitable competitive edge over the competition. Why share the technology?
I truly suspect NIO is a R&D feeder company for the Chinese government existing to advance China rather than advancing NIO. NIO being profitable is not as important as NIO serving the Chinese state. The drunken sailor understands exactly what he is doing. No incompetence about it.

Short selling is of no value to the growth and success of companies. They are a cancer on the US stock market devaluing companies dependent on their stock valuations to survive and grow. Only in the corrupt USA… and we wonder why China is beating the USA like an illegitimate step child.

It cannot. Fast charging damages the battery. Fast charging will put an undeliverable demand on the electric grid of any nation. Charging is not a viable option for urban residents. NIO's swap/charge option is the only way.
