The shorts have moved in on IDCC for a number of trading days and are inflicting serious price suppression before earnings and release of any positive news.

May they burn in the future.

Ouch! What a week. The shorts/MMs had IDCC by the ba$$s. Looking forward to next week with some good financial news at least about the Samsung arbitration results announced before the Needham Growth Conference on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Also waiting on Samsung arbitration. I hope nothing leaked there that tanked the stock the last two days.

Gamco u are correct that the U-blox FRAND case in Delaware is still around. I am not sure how a FRAND decision will go. But U-blox should be sent packing in my opinion.

U-Blox litigation is still kicking around in some court.

Monterey we are a team all in IDCC together.

I have no proof or insight but the stock is being worked for shares before the Oppo settlement and Samsung arbitration news.

Lenovo agreed to mediation, so as it presently stands Tesla is the only one running around in the courts. As I see it  Tesla cannot only sue IDCC for a rate for all Avanci member licenses.

Rooster, Oppo is not going to arbitration. They have signed license with IDCC, see the following.

Just spitballing. It could also be the nasdaq was down bad and we just went with it

It fills some gaps. I am not concenred at all as it technically healthy. 

if we see a large block on the tapes in after hours it sure is a MM covering a large short , taking out stop losses and weaker hands....would be nice to have vegas options weigh in on this....this is the worst drop i have seen in idcc in all the years of owning it

What case would that be? Lenovo and Oppo have both agreed to arbitration and ending all legal proceedings. Samsung arbitration results could be announced this month. I believe the Tesla vs IDCC/Avanci case just got started.

Wouldn't IDCC be required to disclose it right away?

IMO...one of the 4 ai trends is imaging processing revolution..It will enable many new visual ai applications in many different fields such as entertainment, self driving cars, security etc...Hopefully IDCC is working on this area with the strong video patents that they claim they have.

i am feeling the same way, especially with the award by fierce innovation for A I 6g...i think we slowly climb into earnings in 3rd week of january and if the earnings report is as good as expected then we hold gains and wait for guidance...there are many many AI stocks that have climbed considerably higher than us, chen coming from qcom has great experience and i will be very happy to ride his coattails ...

I think they may already have the "golden patent", possibly in 6G or beyond.

IDCC is a R&D powerhouse, developing new technology, and then licensing it out to others. The magic of holding IDCC shares is the possibility of a "golden" discovery - a key patent upon which a whole class or type of technology relies. With that said, I wonder if IDCC has engineers working in the Quantum Computing area? That would be interesting!

IMO….this is all about eps, and then the multiple. The institutions know the eps is going to increase, and IDCC is going to provide earnings guidance soon….cards have been tipped already.
