FIRST UPDATE: WORK STOPPAGE BY ROCK DRILL OPERATORS AT IMPALA RUSTENBURG 
 
Implats wishes to advise that the 5 000 rock drill operators (RDO's), who 
initiated a work stoppage on Friday, 20 January 2012, have failed to report for 
duty this morning, Tuesday, 24 January 2012. 
 
As the strike has been declared illegal the Company has started dismissing 
these employees.
