If I were homeless, going to the movies would be a place to go...LOL. One way to get a couple hours rest without getting harassed. May not be able to afford the refreshments because of high costs.

Seriously though, I haven't stepped foot into a movie theatre since 1960's thru 1970's, and even then it was a rarity. Even way more expensive today than back then. Way more cheaper go to the store and buy my goodies, stay home, pop my own corn, and watch movies from my much more relaxing chair or couch. And, I don't have to be bothered by anyone...LOL

reverse repos are going bac up again. in the make believe world of financial reporting, they have to make their cash look good for the end of the quarter.

fundamentally no reason for amc to make any price move other than earnings report Nov 13 for balance of 2024
if they generate positive earnings with improved revenue for qtr. ending this sept 30.....AMC could see bump in price
but it will be short lived and retrace.....JMO
But I'm still looking to buy this week and continue to HOLD for better fundamentals

That is what I see too. Also in Regal theaters. There is no one in them. Last movie I saw, we were 2 of about 10 total. I lost good money on this pos. $40 to me is not a joke. That is well more than an hours pay for me. But people here love RK who is taking all of their wealth from them. Maybe they work in his same family? I would not be surprised in the least. This could be another slush fund for them all. Every charity, 501C3 and foundation is.

the markets and metals keep climbing at an unhealthy pace imo. why? for political and mainly financial reasons. where is there an abundant source of money for shorts? retail and pension funds over investing. they need trillions and the markets can give away trillions in a relatively short period of time.

In Denver, the Chez Artiste theater closed by surprise, and tearfully after 52 years just last month. Times are changin', and now with Covid on the rise again, it is getting too hard for many of our old traditional venues. AMC needs to BK and mop up the debt and recapitalize, and bury the Apes, still clutching their worthless shares. With AA "The Genius" they just might survive.

I agree, most movies i go to at AMC theaters are completely empty. If that is not dose of reality I don't know what is.

Agree. But that has never meant anything to the APES. Go back and review the frenzy created here and all of the articles and news stories on the re-emergence of roaring kitty and the effect that had on AMC and GME and the huge spikes in volume and share price attributed directly to RK. SMFH

Just go back and remember the frenzy after RK re-surfaced, and then fizzled out. The big drop came after his stupid nothing burger webinar, and it dropped way back. The recent drop in share price has come just from traders realizing that AMC is still overvalued, given its huge debt load and AMC kicking the can down the road and giving up ownership in tis trade name and a bunch of theaters to get the debt extension done.

on May 14th, AMC traded over 600M shares all above $6.00 per share

thats $3.6 billion dollar volume at minimum, possibly $5B-$7B total

thats not retail

what are you smoking? retail traders are not the people that generate huge volumes in stocks, that is done by Wall street firms, institutions, hedge funds, pension funds, etc

You show little understanding as to how things work. Day traders could easily flip 100k blocks 20x in a day when there is a lot of volume and liquidity. Not today.

I wish people would be more conscious of their option purchasing and stop handing premium over to the shorts. I have 9 CALL-OPTIONS, with a strike price ranging from $2.00 - $4.50 that exp between Dec this year to around the middle of next year, that I will be exercising. And 9 more that I will be selling that exp 2026.

You think of that cash as something they really have. AMC would fetch a fat zero for shareholders in bankruptcy, with all the cash gone. Even the bondholders aren't whole now.

AMC barely an uptick all day or for the past few weeks

the volume has been relatively low for the past 6-8 weeks so you would think whomever wanted out by now would be out

AMC options market is DOA
