| The Fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% ofits Assets in equity securities and equity-related instrumentsthat are tied economically to emerging markets. Assets meansnet assets, plus the amount of borrowings for investmentpurposes. Emerging markets include most countries in the worldexcept Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the UnitedKingdom, the United States, most of the countries of WesternEurope and Hong Kong, although the Fund may invest in securi-ties tied to those countries as well. |
