This is what success looks like……DOS

crew members sitting on 18 tons of silver.

It shows what a real salvage company can do while working with a Sovereign government.

They git r done and their success speaks for itself. Notice the salvage vessel is slightly bigger than the speed boat and fishing boat SFRX uses for operations.

Oh, and they recovered it from a depth of 4500 meters 100’s of miles offshore, which means they had very good research and navigational data.

Have a great weekend!

It's amusing that I shared Burt Weber found......

treasure amongst the ballast stones, and the sheep spent much of the day deflecting from that fact.

The Atocha motherlode was on the ballast pile.

The reason being is that's where the treasure was stowed on treasure galleons.

It's the most amusing thing to hear Kyle talk about how impressed folks were with the ballast pile at Juno.

I was just wondering how he got started. Lots of failures before success, at least he never gave up. In fact, that’s part of the title of the book. Interesting.

Quote: How many books did he write before he found his first treasure?
________________________________________

Webber didn't write books although I know he has written short historical articles (shipwrecks) for archaeological quarterly's. Its not what he writes but rather what other's write about him.

Ranging from 1961 to 2024, Webber received 55 publication and documentary credits. I have a copy of all of these as were contained in a past Operational Research Plan.

Yes all you did was cut and paste from an article, but you were deliberately selective to minimize any credit to him. Anyone can Google him and multiple multiple articles, references, etc. come up including Time Magazine, etc.

I’m not trying to demean anyone. I leave that to you.

How many books did he write before he found his first treasure? What year did he publish his first book?

It would be nice if you could get your facts straight. There is nothing wrong with using the application of hydraulic jacks, saws and even explosives when applied with very light charges for dead coral fragmentation. I've been to Silver Bank and dove a number of shipwrecks there. There is no 'Crust' as you put it. So the point is I never trashed SFRX for using these mentioned tools. Please copy and paste where I did.

When SeaQuest International (Webber) terminated excavations on the 'Concepcion' in 1979, years later under a written contract Webber introduced Capt. Bowden to the site and working on a low budget with Dominican divers, he worked the scatter trail off and on for years with successful results. All of this is covered in the book I mentioned 'Bajo del Mar' by Arq. Pedro Borrell (In Spanish).

For me, I'm more interested in reading about SFRX successes as written by credited authors. Please provide me with the links.

You don't give up do you chatterbox. You are obviously on a persistent mission to divert attention from MEXP being the failure of a treasure hunting company that they are.

As to Burt Webber, if you are so intrigued with him why don't you buy his biography 'A Master on the Spanish Main' by T. L. Armstrong. In the course of his career while working under exclusive contracts in the Dominican Republic, besides discovering the 1641 'Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion', he and his team discovered approximately 26 shipwrecks most of which were of the Spanish Colonial period. Three major TV networks documentaries were made featuring Webber including 'The Lost Treasure of the Concepcion' a CBS special at the time.

Approximately one month ago the new book was released 'Bajo del Mar' by Arq. Pedro Borrell, retired Executive Director of the Dominican Republic Submarine Archaeological Recovery Commission which photographically, with text, documents all under contract shipwreck discoveries in Dominican waters, most of which were Webber's. Now with that said (and most definitely verifiable) please cite published shipwreck discoveries and excavation / recoveries by SFRX, along with answering the questions I presented to you which you continue to sweep under the rug. As the saying goes, you are really a class act but to what purpose?

The first book written about Webber was 'The Lost Treasure of the Concepcion' The Story of One of the World's Greatest Treasure Finds and Burt Webber - the Man Who Never Gave Up. by John Grissim. William Morrow Publishing, N.Y. You trying to demean Webber, you sure picked on the wrong guy.

Coral over treasure is far more believable than….

worm poop.

In 1993, Captain Tracy Bowden acquired the rights to the wreck site. He and his crew made several voyages to the Silver Bank aboard the vessel "Dolphin", and he succeeded in delicately navigating the Dolphin within the coral reef maze of the Concepción wreck site, a feat no prior salvors had attempted because of the obvious dangers involved. This allowed the Dolphin to anchor very close to the shipwreck site and to use stronger excavation equipment to uncover the deeper, undetected treasure.

Here’s part of Bert Weber’s history:

“Burt was part of a dozen expeditions in the Caribbean, without having any luck in finding treasure. During this time he also got married and had four children. He worked part time jobs as a brickmaker, welder and (successful) encyclopedia salesman.

Burt worked with another Florida treasure hunter, Jack Goin Haskins. Haskins became his researcher, travelling on an annual basis to the Archives of the Indies in Seville. Haskins found a lot of information about the Nuestra Señora de la Concepciòn.

Webber spent ten years searching - on an intermittent basis, for the Atocha, but was beaten by Mel Fisher. After this, Burt returned to Annville, where his wife Sandy and their four children lived. For two years he worked in a brick factory, and also sold encyclopedias.“

Before Bert Weber found his first treasure, how many books did he write? How many years of searching did it take to find the ship?

The problem with the typical SFRX shareholder is.........

a lack of respect for the industry, as well as the process. It's based on the fact they're ignorant of the industry and process.

They're a good fit with the Industry Leading Clown Show and add to the comedy that is SFRX.

As I have repeatedly posted, I didn't work for MEX. I dove for Hispaniola Ventures who were joint ventured to MEX who defaulted on their contract. Under famed treasure hunter/ treasure finder Burt Webber, we found more shipwrecks - artifacts and treasure in that short period of time than SFRX has found in their sorry existence. That can be verified by the displays in the Museo Atarazana Real, the government maritime museum in the Dominican Republic. Where are the fabulous finds made by SFRX displayed?

I'm fine with (ahem) trying to keep......

me honest, but I'm not the one selling shares here.

The one selling shares had 2 so-called "expert" investors who claimed "it only takes a weekend" to determine if treasure is at a site.

That was over 2 years ago. During that timeframe Kyle said it should only take a few days.

So, if I call bullshit I am being disingenuous because I haven't seen Timmy's Toy that apparently doesn't even work?

Further, you do know that I have said, even if it does work, it can't find what isn't there, don't you?

I'm a telling you and everyone else, prove me wrong and I will be SFRX's biggest cheerleader as soon as I load da boat.

You know I can't get a SFRX long to commit to such. SFRX can tell them it only takes two minutes, and 8 years later with nothing to show for it, they will still be touting this clown show.

But I'm disingenuous?

Most amusing.

I won’t speak for Raider, who does have……

experience, but my comments are based on what SFRX has said over the years.

You’re trying to have it both ways by suggesting YOU haven’t said anything about SFRX or treasure, but that’s what I have been addressing and you’re replying to.

And no, I haven’t seen Timmy’s Toy, but it’s been over two years since we were told “it only takes a weekend” to figure out if there’s treasure or not. More than one person said that, and Kyle said it should only take a few days.

It was bullshit then and it’s bullshit now. I don’t have to see the device to figure that out.

But keep carrying their water while pretending you’re not.

It’s quite funny.

Radar and hedge sorry that I have the audacity to dispute your veracity and dare to insinuate that you prevaricate.

Hedge claims to have special knowledge about sensors and algorithms but haven’t been able to come clean that he hasn’t been anywhere near the machine.

As of late, Radar and hedge are now all up in a tizzy over algae. An algae bloom. Really? Down to the bottom of the barrel are they?

Do they really have the need to bash sfrx about an algae bloom? Really?

The good news is that radar admitting that he doesn’t know everything about diving.

Seems reasonable to me that an algae bloom would mess up visibility and be a problem for the equipment.
