Eventually with no money from the government or tax credits hydrogen will be doomed all of the carbon capture projects will be cancelled as well and then you can expect more reverse splits to survive . It will not be a sudden death but just look at the last 4 years FCE stock has gone from $30 to $.17 pre -split or $900 to $5.00 post split however you put it it’s a 99% loss in the past 4 years. Trump is the President but he is first a businessman and no one is going to convince him to keep the hydrogen subsidy.IMO

i frankly never understood how anyone thought hydrogen was the way to go...especially green hydrogen...spending a $1000 dollars to make hydrogen that you can sell for 30 bucks isnt a great plan...oh sure you can beg the gov to kick in subsidies, tax breaks and all sorts of wefare money, and hope you can grow the product and bring down the price, but its always going to be a loser...especially when after the gov spends hundreds of millions to support your losing business plan, they will then be expected to come up with trillions of dollars to get the infrastructure built...

who thought this was a really good idea??..

i always said fcel needed to just do what they knew how to do...fcell cells...and forget all the fancy crap...but on the other hand, that doesnt seem to be working for them either...at least not anymore....they made an embarrassing mess of the toyota facility and the Groton facility was even worse...spending money like drunken sailors and laying off hundreds of workers and having to r/s their stock and then watch it drop like a rock thereafter...im not surprised many companies are hesitant to work with them...after all, they are not the only fuel cell company around...theres plenty to choose from...

Once again he stock is O/S and another bounce is possible. It can be more O/S before it occurs but if it comes below $5 on closing basis, it still a bounce only. Until trend reverse, investors much treat it as such.
Unless there's some unanticipated bad new the market is suspecting, $5 should give traders a reason to lightly dip i.

but FCEL isnt really a hydrogen company only the Toyota system produces hydrogen none of their energy customers use it - their FCells are all nat gas or methane

They dream of being one though with the SOFC/electrolyser that. no one has seen - only artists impressions and may be inside a lab

I believe that soon the stock will be in the low $4’s but how this gets there 5% to 3% loss the next 10 days or a quick fall to $4 ? Take your bets here since they still have a strong sell I believe.

This is the 7th consecutive down day for the stock. It is now 85.5% lower than its April '24 high of 35.7following the consistent poor fuundamentals, techicals and professional Analyst research.
Ignoring these have proven costly. Following that which contradicted them was extremely costly.

$5.00 is the line in the sand. Falling below it on a closing basis, a vacun exists which could take the stock to unprecedented lows.

Here is a good read I found on Hydrogen:

Challenges:
High Production Costs:
Producing hydrogen, especially "green" hydrogen from renewable sources, remains expensive compared to traditional fossil fuels.
Infrastructure Gaps:
A lack of infrastructure for hydrogen production, storage, and distribution is a major obstacle.
Energy Efficiency:
The process of producing, storing, and transporting hydrogen can be energy-intensive, potentially leading to a net loss of energy.
Storage and Transportation:
Hydrogen is a challenging fuel to store and transport due to its low energy density and the need for specialized, often cryogenic, infrastructure.
Safety Concerns:
Hydrogen is a highly flammable gas, raising safety concerns related to storage, transportation, and potential leaks.
Water Consumption:
Producing hydrogen, particularly through electrolysis, can require significant amounts of water, a concern in water-scarce regions.
Hydrogen is an energy carrier, not a source:
Hydrogen itself doesn't generate energy, it simply carries energy that must be produced from another source, according to the Mackinac Center.

Technical Analysis:
Some technical analysis suggests a "strong sell" for FCEL, with a prevailing sell trend.

Financial Performance and Key Metrics:
Revenue:
FCEL's Q4 2024 revenue rose 13.8% year-on-year to $19 million, but fell short of market expectations.
Earnings:
FCEL reported a GAAP loss of $1.42 per share in Q4 2024, which was 7.1% above analysts' consensus estimates.
Backlog:
FuelCell Energy's backlog came in at $1.16 billion in the latest quarter, with year-on-year declines over the last two years.

I got this information from Google !

There is absolutely no catalyst to move this stock
Forward. No sales and the same partners can’t get them more than 19 million a qtr in revenue . How long before another reverse split two years ? I can see the market cap heading under 100 million . $4’s are coming soon . IMO

Fuel Cell energy will survive with reverse splits and offerings and it seems the only way for now. It will be a long time before this sees a market cap of half a billion. Which is the old $1.00 mark . The tech is getting old compared to Bloom energy.

There will be companies that may do some business in the hydrogen sector, but it won’t be companies worth 17 Pennies per share…

Generally speaking, the hydrogen sector is one big turd…and all these articles and links to conventions and speaking engagements are just an attempt to shine the turd…

At some point, ccus will be seen for the stupidity that it is…so will hydrogen…

The pps will bounce around a bit but the trend will be down…

The day HOGGIE comes out from under his desk is the day the stock is up $.03. We'll then be subject to the usual barrage of links trying desperately to convince his remaining followers to hold on as better days are just around the corner.
Seen it to many times not to recognize his escape hatch when it rains on his parade. The desk provides shelter from the storm.

All of those CC projects by other companies as I read in Stocktwits there is at least 20 projects. All this may get cancelled and if this happens you could see a 30% drop in PPS .

There is no bottom on a stock when there is poor performance and no new contracts that will bring in revenue. The downtrend will continue and $4’s are imminent. No insiders here are buying the stock .The carbon capture is another carrot in front of the donkey. The CEO here is a failure and has no clue how to bring this company profitable. It really is a scam when you think about it for the past 20 years . I bet another round of layoffs will happen here followed by an offering.

No l pumper can save ir. The market , negative fundamentals, technicals are aligned. Thorough , unbiased Analyst research should have been followed. One sided pumper advice should have been totally ignored.
Longs are forced to hold now. They're stuck and can only hope for anything that stops the collapse.
If this breaks below $5.00, there's nothing to prevent $4-$3 or even $2.00
What then" Another R/S"
There's something out there that investors don't know. If so, brace yourself Longs.

Toyota and FuelCell Energy Tri-gen at Hydrogen Seminar

"An example shared at the event was how Toyota’s largest port vehicle processing center in the U.S., located at the Port of Long Beach, which processes upward of 200,000 vehicles per year, has applied the technology. With FuelCell Energy, Toyota built the first-of-its-kind Tri-gen system at the Port."

JH not sure we are in disagreement on keeping 45V and 45Q.

My post was presenting articles that are in alignment...that there was a window to derail 45V and 45Q and that action was not undertaken.

As I understand it, any Biden actions in the final days of his administration has to be dealt with in the first 60 days of the new administration or they remain in tact.

Yes to your post.

Looks like the Keystone pipeline has come back to life. Trump supports oil . Not so much for Tax credits or other incentives for hydrogen . He likes nuclear and coal.
Unfortunately , the environmental opposition will take a back seat and in effect have little influence as they once had.
Oil, Nat gas will be where he'll stimulate production through incentives as he clearly has stated he wants to eliminate dependence from foreign oil.
At least the market as its reflected in where the stock has gone, thinks so.Analysts agree!

Let's hope they keep 45V and 45Q and sweeten the deal by adding Coal Mine Methane and also increasing the $$ amounts.

Republicans in general don't want rule changes! 21 wrote a letter to the administration and a couple more expressed agreement after the fact.

JohnnyHydrogen JohnnyHydrogen 7 days ago
Max, I disagree. The laws and rules can and will be changed.

The IRA law was passed by Congress. Just like any law, it can be amended or re-written by another act of Congress. And that is exactly what's going to happen with the big reconciliation bill. The changes may be very small or they may be large but they will be totally legal and law as part of the new congress.

Also, the last Treasury Department under Janet Yellen took it upon themselves to invent "guidance" which basically added a ton of new regulations like the "three pillars". That was nowhere in the actual law passed by congress. One reason I know that is that Senator Manchin in a very public hearing with Yellen told her specifically that and actually told yelling that he was planning to sue the Treasury Department because it added all these pillars. So the point is that the new Treasury Department will also be able to change the guidance. Most likely, they will offer no new guidance but will follow the new reconciliation law that will be established by Congress.

IRS and Treasury Issue Final Regulations for Clean Hydrogen Tax Credits
January 9, 2025

https://www.gibsondunn.com/irs-and-treasury-issue-final-regulations-for-clean-hydrogen-tax-credits/

*******************
The time for President Trump to challenge the hydrogen tax credits finalized under Biden in the last 60 days of his administration has passed.

https://www.ehn.org/hydrogen-tax-credit-trump-2671234222.html

*****************

From the microsoft article posted:

"As it stands companies developing carbon capture rely on federal tax credits like the 45Q to make the technology viable. EPA requirements for natural gas plants also mandate that new plants have CO2 filters that allow for the transportation and storage of the gas."

"But both the 45Q and EPA requirements are not guaranteed to continue being in force. Earlier in March Rep. Scott Perry (R) proposed legislation to repeal the tax credit, while the EPA as a whole is facing scrutiny under the new administration."

Gotta disagree with the underlined statement. As mentioned in the links above...the time to challenge has passed.

Seriously?…lol…Trump doesn’t want Canada as a state and he knows that will never happen…what he wants is for them to know that the US can and will exert their dominance…when he tells them to do more to ensure that fentanyl does not cross their border into the U.S., he expects them to do whatever it takes…when he wants to make trade a bit more fair to the US, he will tariff the snot out of them until they comply…and he will poke and prod them with comments like they should just be the 51st state etc…he’s letting them know that the US could invade and conquer Canada with a division of marines armed with sticks…its not very diplomatic but then he’s really not trying to be…he’s letting them know where they stand in the pecking order…they seem to need to be reminded…

“53% disapprove of his performance”

I haven’t looked and I don’t care about polls…the polls had trump losing to Harris by a landslide…lol

Besides, right now, trump is a hammer running around hitting anything that looks like a nail…when he’s done, they will all love the results…all that is, except for those who only want to see failure…

Be that as it may. It's another one of his bullying threats. He sure can pick adversaries.
Canada just sent him a message at the G-5 in Canada. They told Rubio to take a walk on his statehood non-sense.
BTW- even if in the far fetched chance he annexes Canada as the 51st state, it'll be the biggest Blue state , bigger than Ca.
They're a Liberal country. Doesn't the dummy know that?
Poll #'s just out. 53% disapprove of his performance. And its looking lower. The Trump cult is finally getting the message. KAPLUNK!
