Brunswick Announces $150 Million Debt Offering

LAKE FOREST, Ill., May 21 -- Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) announced today
the offering of $150 million aggregate principal amount of 5% notes due 2011
under a shelf registration statement previously filed with the Securities and
Exchange Commission. The company said it intends to use the net proceeds from
the offering for general corporate purposes, including acquisitions and possible
debt retirement.
