Rescheduling of General Meeting

Hurricane Energy plc, the UK based oil and gas company, announces that the General Meeting to consider the Company's proposed reduction of capital is to be rescheduled from 14 December 2022 to 10.00 am on 11 January 2023.

The reason for this change is that it has come to the Company's attention that part of the mailing of the Company's notice of its General Meeting to be held on 14 December 2022 was delayed by the industrial action of Royal Mail employees affecting collections on 25 November 2022, such that certain shareholders have not been provided with sufficient notice of the meeting in accordance with the Company's articles of association. As a result, in order to ensure that proper notice is provided and in light of the likely impact of additional forthcoming postal strike action on the return of proxy voting appointments by post, the Company considers it prudent to reschedule the General Meeting to consider the proposed reduction of capital. Accordingly, the General Meeting to be held on 14 December 2022 will not be held. Copies of the Shareholder Circular containing notice of the rescheduled General Meeting and the associated form of proxy will be despatched shortly to registered shareholders and also made available on the Company's website.
