Results of Special General Meeting


The Board of Worldsec Limited announces that the resolution proposed at today's
Special General Meeting was duly passed.


Completion of the disposal of the entire issued share capital of Worldsec
International (U.K.) Limited and the research materials held by Worldsec
International Limited is expected to take place on 1 October 2002.


The disposal of the entire registered equity of Worldsec Investment Consulting
(Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the Futures Trading Right and the B Share Trading Seat is
subject to, among other things, the receipt of approvals from the respective
regulatory authorities and completion of these disposals is expected to take
place on 1 October 2002.
